  • These stable doors were designed & built for my new workshop, a 1,550sqft timber frame building, with a stable block style, so the doors were designed to be in-keeping with that style...
This is my first TH-cam video - please let me know down in the comments what you think - I have more videos on the way so go ahead & subscribe! Much appreciated
    -------------------------------
I finished building my workshop in December so the doors were the first thing I captured for TH-cam, but I intend to document the build-out of the workshop, so the majority of the initial videos on the channel will be workshop related so please follow along with me & provide any advice!
    -------------------------------
I documented a lot of the workshop build on my instragram - head over to / deer_river_craftsman

    Great video!
    No annoying music.
    No jibber jabber.
Fast forward with some nifty effects thrown in.
This is exactly how I am going to upgrade the missis’s woman cave.
    Thank you very much. 👍🏻

I am a Japanese creator. It's a nice door. Very nice video. I also needed a door for the my workshop, so it was very helpful. Thank you ! I'll come to see your channel again!

Thanks for coming onboard JP! It's working out very well but I'd recommend a more stable timber like red cedar for the the panels as the redwood I've used has experienced some expansion & needed some trimming - thanks again & hope your door build goes well :-)

Hi there. I am from Germany and I was looking for a video to build a stable door (for a real stable) by myself. There is non in German, so I am glad that I found yours.

The best Dutch doors I’ve seen along with the insulation added and of course the hardware looks good and clearly will last a long time! Love the wood used in slats and how you separated both pieces after constructing the majority as I think that’s partly why it’s so square put together and hinged up and why it looks like one piece! Pls more shop projects, thoroughly enjoyed this

I just Subscribed! I love the size of your shop. I purchased a 10'x16' shed, and within the year I wished I had bought the one that was 14' wide. I had it completely insulated, the walls sheathed in OSB just like yours, and I had a separate fuse box installed with 200V electric with lots of outlets. You can never have enough! I am now planning to extend the shop another 6' in the spring. I think that will give me the room I need. May I ask how you like the cordless Dewalt circular saw? Most of my power tools are Dewalt and I just love them.

Thanks you for all the kind words! Love my Dewalt kit, especially the Track/Plunge saw - pricey but so worth it in a trade workshop! Good luck with your build!!

You still didn’t put the cup squares bolts in the square holes on the hinge side. If the wind grabs the doors with out the bolts they will rip off the door, that’s what they’re for. So many people don’t fir them just plain lazy.
