As an architect and interior designer with over 28 years in industry, I get many candidates with 4 years regular degree in interior design but they have no practical knowledge as to how things work in real world and are not able to produce work that I can use right away. When it comes to a fresher..I am always looking for a candidate who has solid working knowledge of materials and finishes, working drawings(that can actually be implemented on site) and presentation drawings..that's all..!!.. pricing, site work, client dealing, vendor development are things that come much later. Degree, diploma, certificate course, online, regular..it just does not matter.. what matters is ability to deliver outputs that can be presented to the client and be executable on site within allotted time and budget.
