Ok. it worked before. Twice. Now its not anymore. It was about 100 hours from last map i've ever got (including lvl up map), i intentionally didn't played game besides checking spawns, no lvl up, no collecting maps, not even doing quests. So there is no way that cooldown was initiated again. No luck at all. Just no map spawn, every time empty tree. Camp in correct location, temp files deleted, solo lobby, PC, any condition is good, but its just doesn't work. i have no idea what to do, because i desperately need that lake isabella map to catch up with my friends, we never play online lobby, just private. Any ideas how to do it? I tryed hoping out sessions (Esc->camp) over and over again trough whole night (22 pm-5 am in game) no luck. Its just dont spawn at all.
I have succesfully done this trick, but once I cut off the internet too soon and loaded back in to see the treasure map was taken. Then after several days the treasure map wouldnt spawn at the location again despite me entering s solo lobby and spawning at a nearby camp before heading onwards to the same tree again.
Just tried on PC - Using Rocketstart launcher, there was no map spawning. I did it on a private server, that me and my wife shares. Does this have to be a Solo private ?

Is there any other location the map would spawn? as most treasure map glitches have multiple location that the map could be (the collectables are re spawning after I've collected them tho)
If in the past 18hrs you had received a map in any manner (treasure map guy, looted from npc or chest, received from lockbox stash) you won’t receive another map spawn/loot until 18hrs later (real-time).

I used this tree as it is convenient, and doesn’t need running all over the place. Just spawn at camp and boom, it’s at the tree. However, yes, maps can spawn in many other locations, including treasure hunters.

Map spawns also depend on a bit of luck under normal circumstances. If at anytime you receive a map into your satchel, whether you plucked it off a tree or a treasure hunter, or even if it came from your lockbox, there will be a cooldown of 18hrs, before you can get even a chance of a treasure map spawn
So i tried again after 18 hours of last tresure hunter - and it does not work. I created a new solo server, i spawned the camp, i delete temp file, go back in and no treasure map. For some reason you only mention steam and epic game - is this the same for Rocketstar launcher?!
for deleted files, won't it affect the game or other data besides RDR online? because I see some comments that say up to thousands of files and is that temp folder hidden? because I have seen that in the user file there is no folder that is the same as in the video unless I open the hidden file I'm trying this way btw thanks to u for this video
It’s a hidden folder for sure. Just set it to visible via window settings. Temp files…… are temp files. They are not meant to be permanent and won’t affect most, if not all programs. It just so happens that R* does it this way. It doesn’t change your gameplay in anyway either.
so deleting the file is safe right the location is local disk c/users/(mypcname)/appData/local/temp and delete all files not folder is that the right way? sorry if asking too much just making sure not to make a mistake

It will work even without tinkering with the files but the conditions are as such: 1. Solo Private session is needed. 2. In the past 18hrs, you cannot have received a treasure map in whatever manner.

If in the past 18hrs you had received a map in any manner (treasure map guy, looted from npc or chest, received from lockbox stash) you won’t receive another map spawn/loot until 18hrs later (real-time). It was never 3 days, that’s just a misconception someone came up with and everyone went with it.
Means timing was off. The moment the dialogue appears that you received map, you need to immediately disconnect. I’ve done this for all my 3 characters and they’ve all gone off well.

Means you are on a cooldown. If you had received treasure maps earlier through any means, there would be a cooldown of 18 hours before a map can spawn.

Any map you received, even if it’s from the lockbox to your satchel, will initiate an 18hr cooldown, before you’ll be able to receive any map. I suggest you wait it out, then try again.
Are you in a private session? If you are, it would not change. I actually have multiple vids of me collecting from this glitch. From when I had 100+ gold, til I now have like 1300+/1400+
@@Quelxxx I get on a private session before leaving, set my camp at the right place, but when I quit the game and launch it again, the game puts me in a regular lobby and changes my camp location. I only know how to get on private sessions by using the resource monitor.

@@Quelxxx yes, im using wifi dongle or something. It's plugged to my usb port on my pc since I haven't bought ethernet cable yet. But i think if someone were to use ethernet cable, they can use airplane mode instead of unplug? Im not sure.
You should already have the wifi off window open. That way, when you alt tab, you go straight to that window and just click off. Having to open the system tray and then going into wifi and then clicking off will be too late
We agree that at the beginning of the video the treasure map isn't on the tree, but that you made it appear by manipulating the game files ? Shouldn't I wait for it to appear with a bit of luck? Because I can't manage to appear it with your method and more than 18 hours.

Most people I have assisted with this was on a map cooldown, hence the maps not appearing. There’s also the RNG in a map actually appearing. What this does is to exchange your odds as it narrows down to 1 location. Once you get it, it just keeps coming.
At any time when you have received a map via the treasure hunter, tree, and lockbox for whatsoever reason, there will be an 18hr cooldown to when the next map will even appear. This method, once your cooldown effectively passes, seek to increase the chances that a map will spawn for you on that tree. However, using a private session will be needed, as your camp would need to be at the same location.

Probably a glitched session. Just reload back at camp, or redo the process

Any map collected in any manner counts, so that puts you on an 18 hour cooldown.

How do I disable the internet on my PC? Or do I just remove the cable?
Either use airplane mode, remove/put back cable, or turn off Ethernet (if you are using an Ethernet cable)

Be sure that you can see hidden files. The folder is hidden, so you have to show hidden elements

Maps that the game give you every 5 levels count as well. Any rewards that involve a map going into your lockbox counts too.

Yes, if you take the map out of the post office or lock box you will get the cool down time. Also there is a way to do this at bards crossing.
You don't need to clear files for treasure maps, as long as you DC you internet before the timer kicks in.
Yeah, but I think there’s only a need to show one. Thieves landing is just more convenient.

No need for that. Just login as per normal into a private session. Neither that file or the password needs to change.
Collectibles appear only after you clear the temp files, that’s how this works.

The hardest is creating a solo lobby. It just doesn’t work for longer than 2 minutes.
