“Chaap” - is a sign which a Vaishnav person puts on his head generally.
“Tilak” - is/was generally wore by Hindu woman on her head. also called bindi.
And “Tilak” is also something put on head irrespective of gender during any hindu puja/ rituals. just a small sign of being a Hindu. and following hindu rituals.
line says “chaap tilak sab chhen li”. means these signs of being hindu were snatched away. but “naina milake” so that the song looks gentle. and says Conversion but with putting eye in their eye.
गोरी गोरी बईयाँ, हरी हरी चूड़ियाँ
बईयाँ पकड़ हर लीनी रे मोसे नैना
anyone who knows Hindi and Indian language, they can say that “हर लीनी” means “Kidnapping” and since this line says “gori gori baiya, Hari hari churiya”, its clear that its about Women. and this line says Kidnapping a woman and making their own. ( Promotes rape and forced marriage)
“अपनी सी रंग दीनी रे मोसे नैना मिलाइके”
This means Making hindus woman their own forcibly, like its says “rang denhi” means “Colouring in own colour” .
मोहे सुहागन कीनी रे मोसे नैना मिलाइके
This line says also getting married to that kidnapped hindu woman. But at same time agreeing with that as song is written in that way. Its sings from that women’s perspective and also this song makes them agree to being done so.
