So sick Thomas! Got my heart pounding watching those drake mallards finish. “Oh Lord, thank you for this opportunity.” 😂😂 I have uttered those words many times when it was that good
Thanks Titus! It was one of those hunts when it just felt like the everything was working perfect, couldn't have asked for a better morning to spend in the kayak!
That was a perfect place for a kayak hunt. You disappeared with your camo and you were in such a great location. Didn't look like a shore blind would have worked on this pond. Thanks for an exciting video!
Very good first 5 hunts, slow last Saturday and Weds but tomorrow have a little front coming in to the Willamette valley and second period of goose season opens!@@HokeOutdoors
Rue actually belongs to Cory, my boss, and was with him at the start of this trip. I did get to hunt with her on my last day there though! I have a pup from her last litter, Leroy, who I'm introducing to pheasant hunting but isn't quite ready for waterfowl
@hokeoutdoors can you explain exactly what you did to the deeks and your thought process behind it? Did you just slide them to the right a bit to get the birds to finish off your left side?
It just seemed like the birds wanted to land 10 yards outside of the decoys so I tried to center them up a bit more. That way if they landed on either the left or the right of them I would have good shots
Is this all public land you hunt ? What state might you be in for you most part. I wish we had duck flyway close to us . Our duck hunting usually sucks these days . It was 10x better when I was growing up but DU messed our duck hunting up badly.

All green bag! Nice job buddy!
Kayak duck hunting videos are the best👉👍👍👈
Thanks brother! They're some of my favorites to go on!
Great water hunt and bonus footage of pheasants too!
Thanks brother! I appreciate it! The pheasants to end the morning were the icing on the cake!
What happened to the dog you had in Alaska that was a gr3at dog . Went out this morning shoot 4 green heads and to big black ducks . Best day so far.
That sounds like an awesome morning! Rue was with Cory, her owner, at the start of this trip but I did get to hunt her on my last day in SD!
What an AWESOME DAY! Cant wait for more greenheads to show up here soon!!
That pheasant hunting looks like a good time! Might have to try it one day!!
Ducks and pheasant, what more can you ask for. Deer? Rabbits? 👌
Can't beat that combo in my opinion! Seen quite a few deer around while I was down there but didn't have a tag for them
Great hunt! You have to really appreciate those times out there like this, especially when it's just you! Congrats!

Thanks Don, I appreciate you watching! How's your season been so far?

I love hunting out of my kayak/blind. It's so up close and personal. Just waiting on a good push here in southeast Michigan
Completely agree! It's the most personal experience you can get in waterfowl in my opinion. Hope y'all pickup some new birds down there soon!
Wow them mallards nice
Wow, what a hunt! Nice work.
Thanks Aaron! I appreciate you watching!
Always a pleasure watching your hunting videos.
Love to see that kayak thats a sweet setup man
I appreciate! It's definitely the ticket for getting to those hard to reach spots!
@@HokeOutdoors I hunt out of a kayak here in the marsh in SC I'm looking to get a bigger one to put a bind on
Another amazing hunt buddy. Keep up the great work. You must eat a ton of duck meat. Lol.
Thanks Maurice! I’m eating it nearly every day during season! Theres many ways to prepare it that I don’t typically get tired of eating it
@@HokeOutdoors would be nice to see how you cook it one day.
Great hunt Thomas
Well not surprised another amazing video you made. 👏🏻
Love the colb vids brother, but them kayak solos are awesome!
Fantastic hunt, Thomas!!
Nicely done.
Real nice hunts.
That was an awesome hunt
god bless your hunt
Nice....please tell those birds to fly over to Virginia.
Haha will do!

Good hunt man!
Great content as usual
Thanks Will!
Curious how do you paddle with that blind . Do you have a seat or basically just kneel on your knees to paddle? Awesome hunt 👍🦆
Thanks brother! The blind has a seat that built into it, the grass on the blind makes paddling a little tough but it’s not too bad
Nice hunt
Is your dog still in training? I bet you are missing him on hunts like this
Great video thomas, what gun are you using please?
What are you running for ammo and chokes this year? You were stoning birds
What shells do you shoot? Also if you come back to VA we have to hunt at some point!!
@hokeoutdoors can you explain exactly what you did to the deeks and your thought process behind it? Did you just slide them to the right a bit to get the birds to finish off your left side?

I bet some fellers are flooding corn around you somewhere
It's possible but I haven't ever seen a flooded corn impoundment in ND or SD
Nice hunt! Is that your Discovery 119? What kind of blind you run on there?
Thanks! Yeah that's the Discovery and I use a Cabelas Northern Flight kayak blind with it!
Awesome setup with great luck! The shotkam footage is awesome to watch. What mallard call are you running?
Thanks Steve! I’m using a DRC Harlot
Sorry I hadn't watched your video to the end. And they are out of stock dangit.
@@stevemonacelli8145 they’ll be back in stock next week!
What do you mean by not gonna be a plucker? do you clean it differently?
What kind of kayak and layout blind do you have? I’m looking but not sure what to get
You have a trick to get your head to stand up?
What does "pillow cased" mean?
What camera are you using?
What kind of kayak is that?
Hey man could you possibly tell me what calls you run?
DRC Calls! The Harlot is my go to duck call and I typically have the Life Sentence and Squeaker Tweaker on my lanyard for honkers and lessers
