So I just finished Hajimari's main story, can I just say... what masterful and powerful orchestral arrangements Yukihiro Jindo is able to create. I first got hooked on Cold Steel 1 because someone close to me sent me the track "A Great Power". I wanted to see for myself what kind of game would have such a majestic track for its final boss. And then it's history. I worked my way through the saga until this point, and when none other than the Great One reborn manifested itself as Hajimari's final boss with this masterful track... words cannot describe the sheer fulfillment and adrenaline I felt coursing through my veins. How fitting. Class VII first faced a fragment of the Great Power in the form of the mighty Loa Erebonius. Then, they clashed against an immensely powerful avatar in the form of Ishmelga, the Ebon Knight in a Celestial Coalescence. And finally, the Sept-Terrions of Fire and Earth united once more, The Perfect Steel of ZERO, The Great One reborn.
That part at 1:43 with the background choir just reached me in a way I can't explain I love the brass phrases at 2:20 as well This made me so hyped during the final battle, it made winning that much more satisfying There are 8 bar phrases throughout the whole song, it feels so well-structured and doesn't ask you to wait for it at all
The Perfect Steel of ZERO lyrics: A wheel keeps moving on as a life goes on Sometimes it's likely to stop, but never does the fate While we count these petals to pluck them off a cosmos, the stem is likely to blast, but never does the fate A wheel keeps moving on as a life goes on Sometimes it's likely to stop, but never does the fate Forget the pain you have and you're suffering from again you'll get it over; as the wheel goes on A wheel keeps moving on as a life goes on Sometimes it's likely to stop, but never does the fate Now listen to the sound of Life, hearing the goddess singing Now listen to the pound of Love, hearing the goddess walking Go, just go even if you can not tell the fortune Go, just go even if you can not take the fortune

Having a mech fight return one last time for the final boss was the coolest thing ever and what better way to accompany it than this track. Love the strings at 1:04, sounds really similar to the beginning of Celestial Coalescenes.
Okay how many ppl think that Rean as villain was so badass would have loved to see where Ishmelga Rean riding in Zero and tried to kill or erase Rean and they would fight but welp.
Zoa Gilstein's final phase was by far the HARDEST boss fight in the ENTIRE game for me! (I finished this game *undefeated* by the way, but boy was this fight hard to deal with)
@@buttertoast1146not really cause it makes you wonder why only cold steel 4 had two endings while other games in the series were linear in their endings. This game answers that.
This track has massive Go Shiina energy. All it needs is a stronger brass on key parts and Jindo might accidentally reach such a disgusting level of quality that rivals the absolute best of the best in this type of music.

I remember when this played in the teaser last summer. I attributed this to some kind of grand showdown with Ouroboros and/or GM as we face yet again one of their plans (lol, what we got instead). Regardless, this is assuredly one of the gems of the soundtrack.
An excellent OST, as expected of the series. Unfortunately for me, I just couldn’t finish this game, the story wasn’t speaking to me and I feel like there were so many characters that a lot of their dialogue/writing seemed very superficial. I’ll be looking forward to the next one though 😊
it's a shame, though I agree Lloyd's route is kind of bad, Rean's and C's are worth it. And the post game's daydreams and content is kind of important (you learn who wrote the black records for example)
One of the best boss battles in the entire series!
When Valimar, Ordine, & El-Prado fight against Zoa Gilstein with this soundtrack as the bgm
Hype level was immeasureable

The Perfect Steel of ZERO lyrics:
A wheel keeps moving on as a life goes on
Sometimes it's likely to stop, but never does the fate
While we count these petals to pluck them off a cosmos,
the stem is likely to blast, but never does the fate
A wheel keeps moving on as a life goes on
Sometimes it's likely to stop, but never does the fate
Forget the pain you have and you're suffering from
again you'll get it over; as the wheel goes on
A wheel keeps moving on as a life goes on
Sometimes it's likely to stop, but never does the fate
Now listen to the sound of Life,
hearing the goddess singing
Now listen to the pound of Love,
hearing the goddess walking
Go, just go
even if you can not tell the fortune
Go, just go
even if you can not take the fortune

A culmination of the powers in the Phantasmal Blaze plan, the causality reading of KeA combined with Ishmelga itself. This is such an epic track.

Epic! This track reminds me so much of Fire Emblem; thank you Jindo!

Try beating it on nightmare difficulty without using items
Arianrhod's divine knights battle was still thr hardest for me but thats probably because I refuse to use any item.
Perfection. Such a grand fight and theme that ties up three games all at once.
Jindo and co. really bringing the heat. Props
This track fucks.
It's good to hear something closer to the level of Great Power for once.
for real man I almost cried from the sheer epicness and the incredible resemblance to CS1's Great Power
Jindo how did you make a piece that fits the Great One so perfectly
I know this is a rhetorical question but.... I'm falling for it anyway

Understandable, only a few people with full of dedication could follow the entire Saga.
The story wasn't that good but it was alot more bearable than CS4 at least. C's route was a breath of fresh air and was the best thing from Hajimari
Oh wow!? You missed out! The ending stuff is some of the best in the series!!!!
Why couldn't this have been the final boss theme in 4.
I don’t see it fitting with ishmelga the ebon knight in Cs4 this is his true form so it fitting the great one here
A better title would’ve been perfect steel of zero and iron
The Perfect Steel of Zero.
Steel = Zero then Cold times Steel = 0 so cold steel = 0 so there are 0 cold steel games so cold steel canceled
celestial coalescence better
I kinda wish they used it for the final part when you fight just ishmelga
