  • Arriving In a mountain valley village of Misasa, Tottori - holding loads of memories from a previous life - for an extended medical Hot Springs soak
I wandered a mostly empty street finally meeting a kindly man just shutting up his restaurant for three weeks for hunting season
Learned Hiroyuki-san travelled & worked in 15 countries and was kind enough to make me a special lunch. I returned after 30 minutes to a spectacular takeaway set prepared by a true artisan
I sat alone on a bench at a moss-covered shrine by my touji inn and shared the splendour with you while getting my bearings for what’s to come
In brief: rest, and soak and stroll. Then I dug in!
So very grateful for his kindness, and very grateful for you for taking the time to hang out

Enjoy your time, your vacation, your get-away! So glad you have met the generous Hiroyuki-san, fellow traveler on this road we call Earth. Be well!

@@billsmith9025 it was really great to meet him, one of those strange situations where a minute on either side of the experience and not following intuition would've meant not connecting
Alas, he would've been a great resource, friend and conversation partner… As well as more delicious food during my stay but I'll definitely drop a special postcardto him to say thanks and hopefully keep in touch
His kindness was quite overwhelming and the food fed me for dinner as well
