    Hi Mr.Astbury, just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you've put in to make incredibly useful maths content for us all! You will have without a doubt helped a number of students across the country secure top grades. I hope your channel can reach even more people in the years to come. Keep it up!
    Also, is there any way I could watch your Integration livestream, I couldn't find it on youtube this morning.

      The Integration event was a ticketed zoom call you had to sign up for in advance, the recording of it would've been sent to anyone attended. A similar thing will be happening on the 9th for Pure Maths Paper 2, see the first link in the description for details. :)

    1st term = 2cos2x/sin2x = 2cos2x/2sinxcosx = cos^2(x )- sin^2(x)/sinxcosx = cosx/sinx - sinx/cosx = cotx - tanx..QED

      @@rayzino3338he made it 2sinxcosx

    • @sentheaS

      The coefficient of sin2x is 1. 2cos(2x)/2sin(2x) = cos(2x)/sinx(2x); if your denominator is 2sin(2x) then you would have 2/2, which is just 1.

    • @sentheaS

      And sin2x is 2sinxcosx, in case that’s why you are confused @rayzino3338. Sin(2x) = sinxcosx + sinxcosx = 2(sinxcosx).

    8:12, im confused as to why we are subtracting 2 pi when you wrote down that for tan we do pi - first value

    • @M7RAA

      the rules at 6:34 are for finding other values for which you get the same solution. then when he adds 2pi, thats because the graphs go on forever, so sin30,390,750,1110 all give the same result and they are 2pi(360 degrees) out. Similarly, sin150, 510,870,1230 all give the same solution as the previous values. i found 150 by doing pi(180) minus 30

    sir, does your method for finding values in the range with sin: pi - theta, cos: 2pi - theta and tan: pi + theta also work for both obtuse angles and negative values?

    There are two more solutions to this which you didn't consider. Subtracting pi from 0.294 is in the range still, and so would -2.848+pi

    sir I've seen this asked a lot. For the proof questions, can you do stuff to both sides of the equation and then meet in the middle? does that give marks, or do you have to go completely from one side to the other?

    • @da.jokarrr

      ive been wondering the same thing aswell cuz ive seen it done like that once but never see it in markschemes

    • @stardreamix786

      you can choose what side to start with, and no you cant move stuff from LHS to RHS - this is a proof question so you just have to pick a side and get it to the other using known facts. so yes get from one side to the other completely

    • @Hippogan

      @@stardreamix786 no no no, you're misunderstanding me. you think I want to move stuff in-between sides. no, I'm asking if you can rearrange each side independently, to get the same thing on both sides, to prove that they're equal

    • @nandanpillai4675

      @Hippogan, yeah, you are allowed to do that, or if you're worried, just do that in ur working and lay it out pretending like you've done it using one side

    • @stardreamix786

      @@Hippogan ahh ok - if im really stuck then i would do this, but remember when you end up getting to the middle on both sides of the proof, dont just leave it there - in a new space, since you know where they meet up, you can undo one of the sides and start from the beginning and fully show formally how to get fully to the other side. -t he exam board want you to show one side getting fully to the other side if you get me - but its a good rough working out to get them to the middle to know your going in the right direction
