The production team deserves all the hate in the world and a lot of the blame - but as I understood, it was on her family's request to remove the episodes. If you think about what a greedy company wants's to do, it's to make as much profit as possible and after such a dramatic event, probably the view count of her episodes would have gone up, since people would have been curious about who she was.
