I tuned into Raw very excited (I assumed since it was their Netflix debut, they'll do something good); after seeing the Tribal Combat was first and Roman winning it, I turned off the TV, and went to do something else.
How does Raw being on Netflix mean anything for the fans? There were so many promos where somebody mentioned Netflix and paused so the crowd (who aren't even the ones home watching it on TV) could cheer. The experience of streaming horrible wrestling is indistinguishable from cable. Same with the constant nostalgia pops, like Cena yelling "I came back in 2008 and won the Rumble!", which for some reason still draws a reaction despite happening almost 20 years ago. Even if things were better in the past, it's like being that guy who can't stop waxing poetic about playing N64 games as a child instead of finding something to appreciate now. I don't even get why someone's exposition of "I beat so-and-so at the PLE two weeks ago" makes the crowd roar. It's done, now do something new instead of endless recaps. One more thing is that the commentators are complete marks. It might've been during Roman's entrance, Pat said something like "anyone not standing up right now is a geek" and Cole said "I am now!" It's so pathetic.
Nah man, Nas is better than Eminem. Lyrics, beats, everything. I listen to rap for not just the beat, but the lyrical and storytelling quality too. Illmatic and It was written are some of the best albums for a reason. But we all got our favorites. It’s cool.

Nas has a better discography. illmatic, It was written, I am, Stillmatic, God’s Son, Life is Good, and even the King’s Disease and Magic trilogies were pretty good. I just wish we got an update on the DJ Premier album he was to supposed to release in 2024.
I know there’s a lot of complaints about only 4 matches, but honestly thank God that’s all the matches there was. Honestly I couldn’t take another match. Every freaken match sucked. Fake Wrestling was on display big time. The Dump kicks softer than 10 y.o., Rhea Ripley catches Liv Morgan and just stands there like an idiot. Jey “Jobber” Uso wins a worthless match, and he sucked too. That was the worst wrestling I’ve ever seen. Now they’re going to push Rhea v. Becky, the hell with raw. Even Vince Russo said that Liv should have won, and there was no reason to give Rhea that victory.

I agree with most of your reasons. I was disappointed the Rock came out w/ no mention of the final boss. He was High Chief Shillsuli. But I remembered he gave his belt to his kids and his mom was there. He was not going to be the Final Boss until the next night on NXT. Wrestlemania didn’t shape up last year until he slapped Cody in February. We haven’t even reached the Rumble yet. Hogan should not get booed for shilling beer. He’s still trying to recoup what he lost in his two divorces. Plus, he might die at any time. We’ll miss the Hulkster when he’s gone. I agree Pat Macfee sucks. I think a lot of you were too hyped on a Raw episode. Netflix or not it was still just an episode of Raw.

I'm not sure if you mentioned it or if I missed it, but that RAW set took me out of it. Granted, I didn't waste my time watching the show, but the presentation is just as important as what goes on in the ring. The Titantron, and the following times when they had the big screen, made the show LOOK like a big deal. And that black mat with the sponsors or whatever just really made it look like it was an upgraded version of NXT, and I don't mean that as a compliment.
Just to think, Netflix is paying $500 million a year for this crap. And Raw's big global debut came in at just 4.9 million viewers. That less than what Dr. Seuss The Grinch got on it's 12th week. How fast do you reckon the higher ups at Netflix are going to regret their decision and want to cancel their WWE deal as fast as possible? Even though I think the earliest they can early terminate their contract is 5 years unless there's another stipulation that allows them to earlier than that.
These are my problems: 1. Whilst Liv got way much offence on Liv than I thought she would get anywhere near, all it guaranteed was that Rhea was gonna win(just the fact I was surprised Liv got any off meaningful offence at all is sad). Now add the fact that dom easily and they do some reason love the women like Rhea doing moves on the men is annoying. 2. Solo should’ve looked much stronger, he needed saving from every pin Roman got. Whilst Roman would have everything including the kitchen sink thrown at him, would just kick out without help. 3. The Drew vs Jey match got rushed and the way Jey won just made it a blatantly “he got extremity lucky” win. However I do admit I’m just happy he got a clean win since Drew literally beats Jey clean every time they match up. 4. Everything about the rock was absolutely stupid, I physically can’t understand why they did it like that. Like was this a moment we’re supposed to look at as not apart of the story and just kayfabe just doesn’t matter at all? 5. What was the point of owens interfering? He has beef with Roman AND solo! What was the point!? 7. Oh yh and they really made Punk vs Rollins the main event just to make punk feel better about main eventing😂like we all know the WM Night 1 main event isn’t an actual WM main event, so here you go punk, here’s the raw on Netflix main event😂 And just as an extra, I stand by the fact solo should have won the WWE title from Cody at some point.
Trilogy H is going to spend, the run up to WM, running it back for the International market. Same stale, predictable recipe he used for Cody at WM, he used on Solo/Rhea for Netflix.
The match between Roman and Solo was so average (at best) that I was fine with it being the first match. The CM Punk match with Seth Rollins turned out to be fitting as the last match because it was the only match that was good. It wasn’t any better than good but it was a good match.
From what I heard the undertakers spot was supposed to be Becky's spot but they chamged plans due to appeasing to hardcore fans and nore eyes 👀 on netflix and clips

This may sound crazy, but I think more people cared about women’s wrestling, casuals included, when it was the Bellas, Paige, AJ and when they had just introduced the horsewomen and Alexa. A lot of female fans actually liked the divas, as flawed as that era also was. Now half the women look very masculine and like they are on roids.
There is no heel and face commentator. Cole and Mcfee just glazed at every face and put down every heel. In this moment, the best of them all, Booker T, sitting in NXT. Why??? That makes no sence!

There's no characters like Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Kane, Lex Luger, Goldberg, Ken Shamrock, Farooq & Bradshaw, Mark Henry, The Rock, Scott Hall, NWO, etc. Wrestlers today look like high school kids playing in a gym with no personality or charisma. There's no great characters, announcers, stories, stages, etc. It just doesn't feel like a wrestling show anymore. The announcers are boring and they're nothing like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler was in the attitude era.

I know there’s a lot of complaints about only 4 matches, but honestly thank God that’s all the matches there was. Honestly I couldn’t take another match. Every freaken match sucked. Fake Wrestling was on display big time. The Dump kicks softer than 10 y.o., Rhea Ripley catches Liv Morgan and just stands there like an idiot. Jey “Jobber” Uso wins a worthless match, and he sucked too. That was the worst wrestling I’ve ever seen. Now they’re going to push Rhea v. Becky, the hell with raw. Even Vince Russo said that Liv should have won, and there was no reason to give Rhea that victory.

I agree with most of your reasons. I was disappointed the Rock came out w/ no mention of the final boss. He was High Chief Shillsuli. But I remembered he gave his belt to his kids and his mom was there. He was not going to be the Final Boss until the next night on NXT. Wrestlemania didn’t shape up last year until he slapped Cody in February. We haven’t even reached the Rumble yet. Hogan should not get booed for shilling beer. He’s still trying to recoup what he lost in his two divorces. Plus, he might die at any time. We’ll miss the Hulkster when he’s gone. I agree Pat Macfee sucks. I think a lot of you were too hyped on a Raw episode. Netflix or not it was still just an episode of Raw.

I'm not sure if you mentioned it or if I missed it, but that RAW set took me out of it. Granted, I didn't waste my time watching the show, but the presentation is just as important as what goes on in the ring. The Titantron, and the following times when they had the big screen, made the show LOOK like a big deal. And that black mat with the sponsors or whatever just really made it look like it was an upgraded version of NXT, and I don't mean that as a compliment.

These are my problems:
1. Whilst Liv got way much offence on Liv than I thought she would get anywhere near, all it guaranteed was that Rhea was gonna win(just the fact I was surprised Liv got any off meaningful offence at all is sad). Now add the fact that dom easily and they do some reason love the women like Rhea doing moves on the men is annoying.
2. Solo should’ve looked much stronger, he needed saving from every pin Roman got. Whilst Roman would have everything including the kitchen sink thrown at him, would just kick out without help.
3. The Drew vs Jey match got rushed and the way Jey won just made it a blatantly “he got extremity lucky” win. However I do admit I’m just happy he got a clean win since Drew literally beats Jey clean every time they match up.
4. Everything about the rock was absolutely stupid, I physically can’t understand why they did it like that. Like was this a moment we’re supposed to look at as not apart of the story and just kayfabe just doesn’t matter at all?
5. What was the point of owens interfering? He has beef with Roman AND solo! What was the point!?
7. Oh yh and they really made Punk vs Rollins the main event just to make punk feel better about main eventing😂like we all know the WM Night 1 main event isn’t an actual WM main event, so here you go punk, here’s the raw on Netflix main event😂
And just as an extra, I stand by the fact solo should have won the WWE title from Cody at some point.

Same stale, predictable recipe he used for Cody at WM, he used on Solo/Rhea for Netflix.
The match between Roman and Solo was so average (at best) that I was fine with it being the first match. The CM Punk match with Seth Rollins turned out to be fitting as the last match because it was the only match that was good. It wasn’t any better than good but it was a good match.

This may sound crazy, but I think more people cared about women’s wrestling, casuals included, when it was the Bellas, Paige, AJ and when they had just introduced the horsewomen and Alexa. A lot of female fans actually liked the divas, as flawed as that era also was. Now half the women look very masculine and like they are on roids.

There's no characters like Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Kane, Lex Luger, Goldberg, Ken Shamrock, Farooq & Bradshaw, Mark Henry, The Rock, Scott Hall, NWO, etc. Wrestlers today look like high school kids playing in a gym with no personality or charisma.
There's no great characters, announcers, stories, stages, etc. It just doesn't feel like a wrestling show anymore. The announcers are boring and they're nothing like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler was in the attitude era.
