I've watched literally dozens of reactors to RWBY, and I have to say, watching a first-time reaction to the trailers like this without the audio was interesting because you could watch the enjoyment and excitement gradually build through just the facial expressions and body language. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing (and hearing) more of your group's reactions to the series in the future.

It should be noted that the composer of the music, Jeff Williams, has his daughter, Casey, sing these songs. I believe she was around 13 when she sang for these trailers

"The first two trailers didn't reveal anything about the characters". Actually it did in a way. The songs of RWBY play a key role in telling of the characters backstory or tell some insight about them. The red trailer shows a tombstone about someone who died so you should be able to imply that, that means someone close to Ruby died. For the white trailer, Weiss singing was more than what meets the eye. "Tell me who's the loneliest of all?" "Mirror what's inside me? Tell me can a heart turn into stone?" Both trailers did give info on the characters but they are little, but HUGE details you need to keep an eye out for. There is a lot of hidden things in RWBY that you won't notice first glance.

yeah , the little details in RWBY are like a video game easter eggs , they might be hard to notice \ remember , but every detail plays a bigger role later in the story .
We Made It Uncle Qrow you mean like in weiss trailer the moon is complete but in all others it's shattered that would mean that weiss back story took place first. Think about it.
Nope, moon is definitely broken in Weiss' trailer (see the 10:02-10:03 time marks in our video).
I am a simple viewer. I see the words "RWBY" and "Reaction", and I sub. do follow through with watching the series, the fans will come. FNDM are some crazy people. Also we're bored. it's hiatus time right now and we are scouring the web, searching for new victi- I mean members... yeah.

RWBY may look like a cartoon, but its written like literature. They had a tiny budget & staff for trailers and 1st season, so if they spent the time & money to put it in the show, it has meaning. Rwby is packed with symbolism, allegories, and surrogates for real social issues. But rather than preach the one popular side of issues, the writers often present issues in the perspective of the unpopular side- thus encouraging thought and understanding that issues have more than one side, and sometimes BOTH sides are right.
We saw a couple people trying to blow up a train. That sounds evil or bad.
But Blake didnt want any crew to get hurt when they blow the train. Ohh uh.. well that sounds Good actually.
Makes you wonder what the freight was,
that Good Blake wanted it to be blown up, but not want to hurt people to do it. Some kind of evil or bad freight?
But Adam was there to blow up that evil freight, and seemed to believe blowing it up was more important than saving the minions driving the evil train.
Wow, now I really want to know what that freight was
RWBY gives us a little info at a time, to have us think about what was shown.
But you cant just thing about WHAT the writers shown us, but WHY did they show us THAT
I don't know why but it's all ways great seeing new people react to this show I can't see what you guys think of the rest of this show when you start reacting to the actual episodes.

I wonder how many people I've subbed to in order to watch them watch RWBY?
I'm not super knowledgeable about editing but what's preventing them from boosting the volume of the voices in post and lowering the volume of the rwby video when they splice it in? I mean the voice quality would be low but it should be intelligible.
Or was too much of the actual trailers picked up from the speakers for it to be intelligible anyway or something?
Basically we had no volume coming from the mics; anytime you hear talking was from the webcam mic. The sound bar on the TV simply drowned us out. :-(
You guys will love the show! I guess I can watch you guys until Volume 5, since we are on hiatus right now. But expect to find more people from Team FNDM to come here, and make sure to stay away from potential spoilers. And also we would love to hear your voice during the reaction it makes it more fun that way than silence. I guess this gets me an excuse to watch the show again until Volume 5.

Watching a reaction to these trailers is usually worth it. My personal favorites are Red and White. I love the haunting element with their music..... and the subtle implications of something deeper going on than just the battles.

I really think you should look at RWBY Volume 1 Trailer. It gives you more insight on the story and characters in general and leaves out spoilers. It's still on Rooster Teeth's channel.
You guys are lucky to be starting RWBY now because you have 4 volumes (or seasons) to catch up on once you start it, while we people who have already finished still have to wait a while until volume 5 comes out this November or something.

RWBY is a very popular series, if you watch the entire series a lot of people will suddenly subscribe to you. (One of the fastest ways to get a subscriber count go up). Also yay! It's nice to see another female reacting to it; it's pretty rare as you guys said. I'm a female that loves RWBY, but there's not that many female RWBY reactors. Also any questions you have will be answered in the series. (Best not to read the comments, they could have spoilers). Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
Welcome to the channel! Having watched a lot of RWBY myself, I can answer a lot of questions and have warned Mike and Doug about the comments section, but I doubt I can keep Mike out of them. LOL Hopefully other commentators can help in this regard.
Best not to answer too many questions they have though. Something great about the series (other then the fighting scenes) is that we get to find out the answers for ourselves throughout the series. (So try not to give them too much spoilers). Because as I said it's a lot more fun learning things as you go on with this series. And yeah the music is pretty good at explaining certain aspects about the characters, so that's really great. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

I think the sound in the Rwby video came a little to late, 0,5 - 1 second i think

We are planning to. We all loved it way more than we thought we would, my wife included who has never watched anime before.
It's animated, and has some anime inspiration, but not technically an anime, according to the creator.

Sorry, we sat down and recorded all of Volume 1 in an afternoon, and didn't notice the glitch until afterwards. I assure you, the rest of the videos for volume 1 will have sound. :-)
