I love how the lives of these people are transformed. Open fire cooking, with its damage to people's health and wasting of their income/time buying or gathering unnecessary amounts of wood absolutely, not to mention the environmental devastation from deforestation must be eliminated. But I have to question whether it is better to use outside resources to buy these people efficient cook stoves that they couldn't afford to buy themselves, or whether it is better to design equally efficient stoves that can be built from local materials for little or no cost and then *teach* the people how to build these stoves so they can in turn teach other people and be independent rather than dependent on the generosity of others. If outside resources are contributed, make it for things that are difficult to do with local resources, like sheet metal ducts for chimneys that are easy for places with more advanced technology to make, or metal plates to separate the primary combustion zone where the wood is burning and an area underneath where secondary air is preheated and introduced after the flame exits the firebox to burn the smoke (which is unburned wood gases) so that stoves are truly smokeless AND the amount of wood required is reduced even further.
I am heartley impressed with this wood stove.. I need to supply this stove in rural area of Nepal.. how can I buy or order this stove.. who is the related person in nepal,,, kindly give me information about this,,,
you can make your own from clay bricks! Watch the video called " clay rocket stoves" easy to make and you can even make the bricks yourself! I am sure you have plenty of clay in Nepal?
Good job ...we also need that products, even still now many are cooking in old n traditional way...so kindly give me information, where to buy it...how much it cost in Indians rupees.....
in Bali I became close to a local farming family. The cook stove was really primitive even though the rice field they tended was located beside million dollar villas. one of the daughters had bronchitis and all the children suffered from runny noses and coughing. Simple solutions that are realistic based on the local situation are really possible.

Great innovation. Please improve the inner portion of fire place with heat insulators for lesser consumption of wood, as metal conducts heat.

This is great work... Have you thought of building some biogas digesters from cowdung?
Cooking in a mud stove makes foods way more better and tastier than others wares and as it releases smoke, a well ventilated room is mandatory.
