About a month ago, after watching Peep Show and Mitchell and Webb vids, the algorithm suggested an episode of Would I Lie to You? with David Mitchell as one of the panelists. Little did I know that once I clicked on that first video, it would take me down a rabbit hole of British panel shows like WILTY, Big Fat Quiz, QI, and even radio panel shows like Mitchell's The Unbelievable Truth. These shows are literally the only things I've watched in weeks
All except for Katherine Ryan. Trade in Claudia Winkleman or Dara O'Briain and I'd agree. Upon further review I could do without David Walliams as well. I like him on BGT, but on these he is quite annoying.
@@unleashed4690 fun fact the reason David is constantly acting out is hes Jimmys real world best friend. He's being purposefully disruptive and an ass. Any walliams Carr appearance is pure gold...
The black and white puppy being passed around from person to person to person to be petted and loved during this BFQ made my little heart so happy. I want someone bring a puppy or kitten on every BFQ from now on!!
They were there for the entire quiz, too 😊😊😊 At least the little black and white one was. Did they even take them away before they brought the snake out? Surely they must have.
24:20 “It's Raining Men” was written by Paul Shaffer (of SNL & David Letterman fame) & another guy. Weirdly, it was on the Weather Girls' *third* album. They weren’t put together just for that song.
They were assigned the song because of their name. They are also almost exclusively known for it. So indeed, they got their name from the song, without which they would be unknown today.
I imagine Kath and Aisling asked the producer who else would be on the show. When they knew Noel's in it, they knew there's no point in dressing up. Noel will always steal the spot for best-dressed.
Noel and Richard should've got the point from the Doctor Who question. I mean the Valeyard is an amalgamation of future incarnations of the Doctor, so one of his enemies really is himself.
53:42 We in America know all about that first Ronald McDonald. That's Willard Scott who was a beloved national weatherman on NBC's The Today show, who just passed away 24 September, 2021. And he was just as lively to the end as you see he is in that picture.

David West, are you over it now? [Definitely not a quick fix -- especially at Jonathan Ross' age, doing it all those years] You nipped it in the bud though? [Your parents did?]
For those who may not know: Jimmy often and unreservedly mocks Ireland because his parents are Irish immigrants and he still has close family in Ireland.
Yes, The Weather Girls were re-named after their label knew “It’s Raining Men” would be a hit. They started out as Two Tons of Fun, but the label thought that was somehow unseemly or low-class.
1:15:39 Tarzan was most famously played by Johnny Weissmuller, who won 5 Olympic gold medals, so Jimmy's condescension about Tarzan's sporting achievements is way off the mark here.
I just realized, why are they called the Mario Brothers? There's a Luigi and a Mario. Unless their last names are Mario. I'm that case Mario, would be Mario Mario.
No it's a banjolele. Neck and tuning of a ukulele, body of a banjo. Formby played the banjolele in live performances because it had a fuller sound than the standard ukulele.
@@BariumCobaltNitrog3n Not that new. George Formby was playing them in the 1940s.
