- The Race of Gentlemen invades Southern California, recreating pre-war era drag racing. Flatheads, sixer's, and four-bangers are the powerhouse to an array of steel body vehicles that are nearly 100 years old. The 1/8 mile drag racing takes place at Flabob Airport in Riverside, California, which in itself dates all the way back to 1925.

Why no 1/4 mile? C'mon man!
For one, these cars wouldn’t pass tech at any kind of real track. Event promoters say seatbelts are optional. Beyond that, in California it’s a whole lot easier to hold 1/8mile races than 1/4 these days. Pretty limited tracks around here

Lot of bitchin old bikes too, men and women racing 4-5 wide at a time. I’m unfamiliar with old bikes but definitely cool
