I would argue Doctor Doom as the dark version of Iron Man. Cool armor, check. Leader of a company with the income of some nations vs the leader of a nation. Top human level IQ vs top human level IQ. Massive ego vs massive ego. The big difference seems to be when it comes towards an attitude towards magic.
You're definitely right. I don't think of Doom so much though because he has so much else going on with his magic and other powers that his suit kinda feels like an after thought.
Victor is very much a mirror of Reed Richards in terms of intellect, both are constantly in search of knowledge, but both take to it in different ways.
Actually, Doom was originally supposed to be an Iron Man villain
Damn it, I was three years too late. I was going to make this same exact suggestion.
But I always looked at Doctor Doom as basically being "what if Tony Stark had no boundaries at all?"
Especially when you factor in all the magic that he is versed in, I feel like that is a line Tony wouldn't be comfortable with stepping over. Unless absolutely dire circumstances called for it, of course.
I love the concept of fantasy team building, It'd be real fun to see more like this, your own sinister 6, x-men team, thunderbolts ect

I think the Enchantress would have been a good analogue for Scarlet Witch.
Iron Man is a tough one, considering all of his armored enemies ie Crimson Dynamo is just a dude (s) in a set of armor made by his country. It's a role anyone can fill. I think Obadiah Stane's son Ezizial or however you spell it would be perfect, but no figure of him lol
I think iron monger is a pretty much perfect, counterpoint to iron man. Iron man chose to stop selling weapons but iron monger wanted to take over tony’s company to sell weapons. And they both have iron suits. He is basically iron man, gone bad.

I think the dark counterpart to Ironman is Obadiah Stane the Iron Monger, as they are both intelligent business men who only see differences in greed and morals. Justin Hammer works as well. Not sure how you could portray him with a figure though. Maybe as Titanium Man?

Im reading the 1996 novel Iron Man: Operation A.I.M. and Modok has a bunch of adaptoids posing as villains. He even had one that looked like Deathlok, fight War Machine. Rhodes talks about how he helped Deathlok, in the past and how he has a lot of respect for him. So far there was Spymaster, Mr. Hyde, Cobra, Deathlok, Cold Warrior and Mandarin. It gives me a great idea for my chessboard diorama.

Personally, I prefer MCU marvel legends rather than the comic versions of this characters. Nevertheless I’m a huge fan of your channel mate, you’re so passionate and I absolutely love your style and all the sensations you transmit through the camera.

I agree with you the evil doppelgänger hero combination is a great one and I’d like to see you do this idea again but with street level heroes like daredevil iron fist Luke cage moon knight and characters like that or maybe even like an X-Men one too with like wolverine and cyclops
I would do The Enchantress as a foil to Scarlet Witch, Madam Hydra as a foil to Black Widow, and Trickshot as a foil to Hawkeye.

The Skiklah figure made me think of the Jeff the land shark pup that she comes with. I have absolutely zero attachment to her but I want Jeff to go with my Deadpool setup so bad that I may buy the figure just for him

I've started my collection with.Dark Beast, Wild Child, SaborTooth, King Shark, FrogMan and Ursa Major. I have Bizarro on the way as well as Gorilla Grod. My wife thinks your a bad influence 😂
A good counterpart for iron man or even war machine could've been Norman Osborn's Iron Patriot from the Dark Avengers. Atleast i think

The only one that's really hard to find is Singularity as she was only in the A-Force box set, and that's going for $300 or more on the secondary market. I think I got the last one that was $200, as I've never seen one that price since. Note that the Lynx and Heracles are the only ones that are not Marvel Legends. Lynx is Fortnite and Heracles is the He-Man with the H chest symbol instead of the Iron Cross. But that's a pretty powerful Dark Avengers Team! Able to give their fair share of Avengers a run for their money!
BTW, great job with the evil Avengers. You are so entertaining. They should pay you to do what you do.

Instead of crimson dynamo vs. Iron man I would have had to do Ultron, or for vision, probably more for vision and I would've done taskmaster vs.black panther and did crossbones vs. Hawkeye. Great review nonetheless.
I'm annoyed at myself for forgetting to include BP. Someone suggested Kraven as a sub for him and I thought that was kinda fun.

I think a perfect counterpart for Black Widow is Madame Viper, but I’m not quite sure if we have a Madame Viper marvel legends. I’m kinda new at collecting figures, just started 3 years ago and currently have 200+ marvel, DC and Star Wars figures. And if I would make my own version of Dark Avengers, I would choose Madame Viper as counterpart for Black Widow.
It seems we should hopefully be getting Viper very soon!

Isn't Death's Head 2 good? I'm not 100% sure, but I think that Black Widow & Typhoid have crossed paths, before, possibly in Daredevil.
I think you're right Prince but I'm pretty sure that Deathshead 2 has been inhabited by different minds / personalities so has been both good and evil at different points.

In uncanny x-force the deathless were a kinda techno organic zombie virus created by father as part of the weapon infinite project. When they try to go fight father and take back Fantomex's pocket dimension he had an entire army of them, made up of various heroes

I know this is slightly off subject, BUT one of my goals is to build the ENTIRE villain & hero teams/cast from the ORIGINAL Secret Wars...! Unfortunately, I'm missing SEVERAL that came out YEARS ago when Hasbro took over, such as the ENTIRE Wrecking Crew and others. I'm still hopeful that I can eventually get them into my collection though. Thankfully, I DO have MOST of the cast now, due to the recent years' releases of new figures, but still need certain versions of characters like Rogue & Molecule Man, Volcana, & Titania, etc.,.
How far off is your collection from that? (Oooh! We have that upcoming Ultron too!)

Yeah, same here! I think it was SECRET WARS that got me more into Marvel superheroes than DC Heroes, and when Hasbro started the Vintage card style releases... THAT was SUPER reminiscent of the old SECRET WARS carded figures, in MY mind anyway, and really made me feel like I was buying modern versions of THOSE old toys, but WITHOUT the goofy gimmicks, which I hated EVEN AS A kid, lol.😅
Crap...!! NOW it occurs to me that I'm going to need to find that Deadpool in the WHITE suit to create my Beyonder figure for the series... I had happily skipped on that one, lol. Oh well.
Secret wars is such an all time classic. I would love to be able to complete that line up!

there are 3 classic heroes that comes to mind; ms marvel/warbird, not captain marvel, wonder man, and quick silver. also these have been part of a classic lineup; she-hulk and beast, hercules. you can think of their villian counter part
Or, you could always make up a Dark Avengers like I did! LOL Because I also have a Master's of Evil, Thunderbolts, and a Maggia (which takes Madame Masque out as counterpart to Natasha), I had to get creative, and even fudge a couple.

What happened to the "Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun." line? I didn't know there was a alternate line there. So was the gun line in the U.S. version?
That's right, there are a few different edits and alternate takes between the European and US versions. The main one being the Apocalypse ending for Europe and the S-Mart ending for the US.
