The obvious laymen answer is a waterspout but that's not a proper mesocyclonic tornado. Fair-weather waterspouts form due to high humidity and warm water compared to the overlying air. Now a tornadic waterspout is an actual tornado formed from a mesocyclone that crosses over water.

A tornado that sucks up water is called a waterspout, usually it happens because a tornado forms over water or moves over it and sucks it up. Cool tornado facts for you!
And adding on, you can also get firenadoes sometimes. The name speaks for itself, a tornado can suck up fire and any debris it picks up can catch on fire! Doesn't sound fun, Yeesh.
