- One of the possible driving test routes in Success, Western Australia. Take your PDA preparation responsibly. Make sure you have plenty of practice in the area as there is no substitute for driving lessons. Watching videos is beneficial because you visualise roads, traffic and how you will complete driving test tasks successfully, but videos alone will not be sufficient preparation to take a practical driving assessment. Ensure that you have a lesson before the test on the day as speed limits may change due to roadworks and similar unforeseen circumstances. The assessors at Success Assessment Centre can choose to take you to any street within a reasonable distance from the centre. There are no fixed driving test routes in any metropolitan or regional driving test centre. This driving test route is just an excellent guide, as any assessor can take you anywhere within a reasonable distance from the test centre. Main, residential streets and car-parks we showed in this video are common places they use. Have plenty of practice before you take a PDA. The initial exit from the DoT car-park is always going to be the right turn as the left turn (direction) takes you to private property 1:02 Good luck and drive safely!

Any tips for things in the area that assessors may use to try catch you out? Like an awkward turn or obscure speed limits etc.
Nice video... I just had my test today and before to go I watched this video few times then did the same route for practice and voilá! The inspector took me to the same place and street to do the test... cheer mate for this video!

Hi Steve, just wanted to ask if we were asked to forward park and then do “reverse parking” and while at forward there’s an empty bay Infront of you is it permissible to just drive forward and call it “reverse” ? Same thing for parallel parking if they didn’t specify they wanted reverse parallel can I just go forward and then adjust my position from there? Cheers Cheryl
In most tests, the assessor will specifically say reverse park either next to a car, specific bay or anywhere you like. Generally, you will only park forward once when you come back to the centre. They can do both plus reverse parallel if they want to, but it rarely happens. The best idea is to know all types of parking reasonably well

The videos are just guide, the assessor can take him anywhere in the area. The best advice I can give you, drive around with him within a few kilometers from the DoT and explore carparks, side streets and everything between.

There is a lady assor in Success, I suggest that you contact them before the assessment and request. Their number is 131 156.

Hey, got my PDA test coming up soon on 10th of February. Would like to know if the driving examiners take you on a steep hill to do a hillstart or a small hill.

In Dunraven drive at 2:59, if you want to turn right and there is a vichechle wants to turn right to the road you came from, will you give away to the vichechle because it is on your right?

Are you required to do parallel parking at success
They can ask you to parallel park if they want to, not often though. We had a few candidates who had to do it. It's good to know how anyway.
