My father's parents and aunts grew up there and arrived in the US in 1912. But as a kid I always heard my grandmother and great aunts talking about how much they missed Sorrento. My father has been there many times and found my grandparents brothers and sisters and gotten to know them. He said there is a statue to one of his relatives somewhere in Sorrento, he was a poet.

Beautiful video! Lots of places I recognise. My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 weeks (June 2014) in Rome, Sant Agata and Amalfi with day trips to Sorrento, Positano and Capri. Brings back lovely memories, returning to stay this year in Sorrento in August :)

Sorrento is a pretty place. But if you want a true italian experience (food, people, culture) stay in napoli. lots of people can't handle it i embrace it and it has become my favorite city on earth. Sorrento has more tourists then italians most the time.
