Yeah nothing from him directly but his friends gave a lot of insight and there have been a lot of deep dives into it - including a documentry called "Silenced (2018)" where they spoke to his friends about his motive, a 60 minutes interview where they spoke about stalkers & obsessive fans and an E! episode where they spoke to Marcus and Christina's team about his motive. He was obsessed with her and believed he was going to be with her. He got plastic surgery to impress her with the idea that he was going to become a gaming streamer and that would lead him to her. He told his friend Cory that he and Christina were going to be in a relationship (and that the surgery was for her) and when Cory said that was a ridiculous idea, he got very angry and defensive and threatened to end the friendship. Cory tried to report that he was becoming obsessive about Christina to his workplace [Best Buy] but because no crime was being commited, it got dropped. He was really captivated by Christina being a Christian and thought that if there was a God, he could see it in her and said that she'd "changed him". On the final day Cory saw him, he said he was tired and "ready to ascend". Men like this who 'love someone so much that they want to kill them' believe that by killing the person and then themselves, they create some kind of bond between them. So the most likely motive here is that he was in love with Christina and once he realised that a relationship was unlikely, he decided to kill her as a way to "ascend" with her to the afterlife and own her.
Takin' (sorry for being that guy). I agree she was amazing. If you think about the people that you'd take a bullet for. She'd make the list. She has done way more good in her life at 22 than I have done at 32. I hope to catch up. RIP Wonderful girl!
