I was at Elevation! THAT BASS AT THE START OF YOUR SET MADE THE NIGHT, really set the energy after a solid performance by Dayseeker. Hope to see you in Michigan again soon!
Actually both the main vocalist and the bass player both do cleans and screams, you missed their last single that they released a while back called Masochist where the main vocalist sings the intro. Their voices harmonize very well.
They both have very unique voices as well that work well together. Jake is the very classic metalcore backing vocalist, and Jamie has such a sweet voice, it's crazy. I want to hear him sing more.
Saw them live in NZ, and they go so hard live. Australian bouncy metalcore is something else. Between Deadlights, Thornhill, Northlane, Polaris they are killing it!
Honestly man if you havn't seen these guys live before, I would 100% recommend it, I grew up in the same town as these guys, and coming up with their music they are fucking 1000000000 x more insane live as well. Get on it ASAP these lads are fucking down to earth
Just got done listening to it and needed to see what you thought of it. We always have very similar reactions and I think its hillarious how similar all our tastes are in this community. Like attracts like and all that. Feels like an echo chamber at some times lol
This was great to hear the diversity that will be on the new album. The track MASOCHIST I think is the more melodic track with more cleans. So I'm hoping the rest of the tracks on the new album will be a mix between. But absolute bangers none the less!! 🤘🏼
Polaris opened for architects last year and they fucken killed it and hyped everyone up so much. (I also almost died as it was my first time in the pit) was dope and so was architects
Saw these guys at Elevation with Wage War on the Pressure tour - set was absolutely nuts. Their energy live is only matched by the bass that started the set, shaking the entire venue.
Seeing you react to all this new music I think you forgot 'Poverty of Self' came out a month ago by Currents Also hope you do a reaction to Stone of Mourning by Kadinja as well. They're hands down one of the best progressive metalcore bands out there
Yeah masochistic is definitely the single you want for the singing, as some others have said. Very catchy and makes you appreciate the aggression of this song too
I can't help but laugh a little at the thought of some bloke at the end of the day casually going through the security footage of the train like every other day and coming across these lads going hard. They'd just be thinking "Wtf did I just walk into?"
Because you talked about ryan sew, this song is actually almost completely the brainchild of Rick (their other guitarist) it brings some interesting change because they usually write all their songs together. Can’t wait for the album!
Never heard these before that’s was awesome definitely gonna have to look up more of their stuff. Can’t say I’m lovin the vocal style he uses, but the guitars and everything was awesome.
Fun fact, this song was predominantly written by Rick, the other guitarist. As a huge Polaris fan, this song blew my socks off because it's nothing like they've ever released before but is also inherently Polaris. Absolutely love the Beartooth vibes though, I wonder if they got inspiration after touring with them.
I saw them live in Vienna last December and they played that song.. nobody knew it before and damn it was banging even more live compared to the recording
So I really got into this band called dayseeker and seeing that they were comin on a tour less two hours from me two times within a month I decided to go to their show in Indiana and Kentucky they was on tour with like moths to flames and wage war but I had never heard of Polaris so I went to the show not knowing who they were what they sounded like but I was blown away both times, good music great energy A must see live
The new Polaris record is so, so sick! Massive love to you from Pakistan, Nik. Everyone in the band is a big fan of yours! PS. we just put out a single featuring Keshav Dhar of Skyharbor, maybe you'd want to check that out? HUEHUEHUE. Love and peace.
Actually I really like that there are no cleans in this song. Check out the live version from Brisbane 08-08-2019 , with an 11 year kid in the first row.
*This is some good smashing*
Comment what you want me to check out next!
Definitely Masochist
Not sure if you ever did it.(I dont think so) but Fuck Love by All That Remains
Masochist by Polaris and maybe the new Silverstein
Love ur react vids! Ur not trying to be to cool for school! U act like a true fan of metal music! Keep on keeping on brother! 🍻
Thousand Below - Disassociate
Appreciate the kind words man, it’s a fun song to play indeed. Sincerely, the other guy.
Rick Schneider FUCKIN LEGEND MY MAN!!!
Just saw you guys recently in Orlando FL with Wage War you guys killed it I look forward to seeing you again!
I was at Elevation! THAT BASS AT THE START OF YOUR SET MADE THE NIGHT, really set the energy after a solid performance by Dayseeker. Hope to see you in Michigan again soon!
You have made a masterpiece with this album!
You guys are fucking legends!!!! Make another trip to Michigan I wanna open the pit the fuck upppp

I told that to my girl once...🤣🤣🤣
Whoever does Polaris’ mixes seriously need a raise.
Oh cool I listened to a song before Nik did
Ikr, he's usually how I find new songs to listen to in the first place :D
Cover it before he does, then I'll be impressed
I got it when it was 20 seconds out of the oven
At least he posted it later :p
I gotta up my game
These Australians know how to riff
Fact
It's like, in their blood or something man. Their metal and hardcore communities are just on another level
Yes its🔥
@@bastiu.2020 I hope this wasn't a pun 👀
^^ true

@@c4gob00m Well he sang all of Martyr (Waves), love that song.
He also sings the last part of the chorus in masochist. Didn't figure it out til recently
Definitely check out masochist, it has those cleans you’re looking for.
I checked it when it dropped, which is why I didn't react. Pretty decent track
Been following Polaris since I was in 8 th grade now I’m a sophomore and they still bump hard!
Damn good taste young man lol I'm almost 24 and it's scary 😂
Same here same here same here
Polaris is killing it right now! Release after release being straight fire! 🔥
^^
Really perfecting that blend of old and new school hardcore/metalcore atmosphere. I could definitely hear some Norma Jean coming out of this track.
Same!!
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 whats a good norma jean track to start w?
@@Hein.- I, The Planet. Check out the music video for it.
@@Hein.- memphis will be laid to waste is another heater
InfernoDevastation One of my favorites is “Forever Hurtling Towards Andromeda” so far, but I’m a new fan so I don’t know them very well yet lol
The song is fucking insane live. The pit goes insane and it's awesome. Love Polaris and beyond hyped for their new album! 🤟
I loving the real hype in Australian metal bands. Polaris is such a good band live.
I met Jamie live... such a nice guy...
Saw them live in NZ, and they go so hard live. Australian bouncy metalcore is something else. Between Deadlights, Thornhill, Northlane, Polaris they are killing it!
The pre breakdown and breakdown.. When those hit.. I hit the floor from just pure excitement
^^
Reminds me a lot of old Every Time I Die! Shit’s fire
my bro said it reminded him of ETID as well, & that's not a bad thing!
You're so right. Hot Damn style : )
That was my exact thought. The intro has Heavy Etid vibes.
For real that intro PUNCHES! Never been a huge fan of this band but this song has been spun a few times now
It feels like a mix of Beartooth and Everytime I Die to me
I was at the show when they debut this song on their tour last year (Brisbane) . it was absolutely crazy!
I'm getting serious Greyhaven vibes on those riffs and I love it
Empty Black was insane!
Factssssss n a lil Norma Jean
Djentier!
at some parts the vocals remind me a little bit of greyhaven too, but not too much of them do
I have never heard anyone say “Polaris” that way before
Wait how have you heard people say it? Sounds normal to me?
Clikcer Productions Po-lair-is. Nik said Puh-lahr-is
@@FabulousKilljoy pol R is
@@FabulousKilljoy I've always heard it said Po-lar-is like Nik said, perhaps your way is an Americanized form? Since Im English and Nik is Canadian
Clikcer Productions Oh that makes sense
As already mentioned, check out the other track released on the upcoming album, Masochist. Good mix with clean vocals.
Hell yeah man! Great reaction 👌👌👌
Polaris is so fucking sick live! Those Mayones guitars sound incredible and vocals are flawless
150% recommend and going through their discovery. You won't be disappointed.
Seen this live a couple of times now, so much fun
Honestly man if you havn't seen these guys live before, I would 100% recommend it, I grew up in the same town as these guys, and coming up with their music they are fucking 1000000000 x more insane live as well. Get on it ASAP these lads are fucking down to earth
The Amity Affliction has a new album coming out next month
I broke my foot in a Polaris pit once.
Still no reaction to secrets - my mind myself and I?.. tragic!
I feel like they've been slept on ever since leaving Rise and they only got better.
Hell yeah. Secrets new single is sick.
Soon
secrets is super underrated imo
These guys are huge! They need more coverage! They go OFF live!
Just got done listening to it and needed to see what you thought of it. We always have very similar reactions and I think its hillarious how similar all our tastes are in this community. Like attracts like and all that. Feels like an echo chamber at some times lol
Love your reacts so much mate, really got me into your channel
This a very bouncy track. Will go hard in concert!
Vocals gave me an Everytime i Die vibe.
This song has mad “define the great line” vibes.
Dude yes! Been a fan of Polaris for years!!! They kick ass, glad to see they're getting more recognition
Saw these guys at Elevation with Wage War on the Pressure tour - set was absolutely nuts. Their energy live is only matched by the bass that started the set, shaking the entire venue.
As another note, they released a single just before this one, Masochist, and if you're looking for clean work, that's the one to check out!
Great band. Saw them last year. Really looking forward to the new record.
Seeing you react to all this new music I think you forgot 'Poverty of Self' came out a month ago by Currents

Why did I only recently discover Polaris? Holy shit what have I been missing
Got to that breakdown and was thinking it sounded a lot like beartooth... and then he said it. Holy shit that track was insane! Wanna hear more of it.

Polaris the reason for all the fires in Australia lmao 🥵

The Amity Affliction dropped a new song called "Soak Me in Bleach", you should check that one out next!
Will try to check it tomo!
I saw them live in Vienna last December and they played that song.. nobody knew it before and damn it was banging even more live compared to the recording
The vocals gave me a real Refused vibe :)
Thing I love about this music video, the opening where Jamie is in front of the purple tunnel, every fucken Sydney Aussie knows where that is ahahah
You should react to their song "Masochist."
Hey Nik! It has some cleans, since you were looking for some. Pretty deep lyrics too.
i have seen a lot of this videos, and he only reacts to new releases
Please!
Definitely should react to Masochist
You should start a Best Sweep patterns or something along those lines series.

Haha funny, because I'm pretty sure in the Hypermania music video the vocalist has a dayseeker shirt at the end
The song is defs made for live performances. Saw it live and its insane
Can't wait for the album.
Polaris are unreal, just keep getting better.
I do have to say us Australians have a great range of metal 🤘🏻🤘🏻
New amity this morning
I get a huge Cancer Bats feel off of this one! Nutty.
So awesome. If you played this for me without saying who it is, my guess would be either Every Time I Die or "Define The Great Line" Underoath
Hey Nik! Silverstein has a new single! Let's Goooo
Take a shot every time the subtitles say applause
Anyone else hear Every Time I Die in the choruses?
Finally some reactions🔥
Saw these guys live in 2017 with alazka and they where insane live

Lost in Separation - Wasted Youth

Give "the Grief & the Guilt" a go!
This song has BIG "sick of it all" vibes for me

I would love for you to check out Alpha Wolf. They are going to be touring with Polaris soon and I can't wait to see the both of them
Strong Every Time I Die vibes.

Already best video in 2020
The new The Amity Affliction song (soak me ik bleach) is pretty dope!
The band Atlas has some great songs with unique cleans. I’ve just started listening to them so I can only recommend Uni and Veil
You listen about northlane and polaris but what about void of vision ?
