    After almost two years, I can’t say enough good things about the p&s carpet system. I don’t have an extractor, just a drill brush and a $150 steamer. Great video!

    Hi Gary.. Frank here with Costa Mobile Detailing. I actually got rid of my Mytee Extractor and went to encapsulation products by ReleaseIt. It's literally like an extractor in a bottle. All you need is Encap DS2 and Encap Hydrox. Once the product is applied to the upholstery or carpet it will dry and crystalize encapsulating any soil. Then you just vacuum it up and done! This will change the way you do interior details for sure.

      How long does it need to dry?

    • @frankalvarado9594
      @frankalvarado9594 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ZPollak it depends on the weather. On a warm day it should be fully dry within 30min.

      @@frankalvarado9594 Right on, that's what I was thinking. Just ordered their free sample kit. Going to give it a shot! I REALLY don't want to have to extract carpets if I don't have to... and worry about drying seats and carpets.

    My suggestion is to first use the steamer to open the fibers while lifting the dirt and then continue on .

      Yes sir it does take time and sometimes you’re still gonna have to use an extractor, but the better you get out at the less you use the extractor

      Thank you brother I appreciate that. I usually just use steam with some upholstery cleaner and some kind of a brush. Seatbelts are pretty tough.

    I believe I have the same steamer ( Chief 100) And I have the Mytee 8070. My question is do you use an extractor also at times?

    • @StaySlick

      Only when I need to suck something out. Ex. pee, vomit, milk, ect

    Are there cheaper alternative steamers that you like for those of us on a budget for personal use vs a business use? Or would it be best to hold off and save up until I can afford this one? Thank you as always!

    • @StaySlick
      @StaySlick ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well the McCulloch steamers are great for casual use. If you want a pro steamer I would go with the chief, vapor clean or the aqua pro steamer

    Using the steamer is pretty much as much work as using an extractor here and would deliver better results but granted this $1k steamer will give acceptable results.

    • @StaySlick
      @StaySlick ปีที่แล้ว

      The whole point is to avoid oversaturating the seats. It’s not always a good idea to dump a bunch of water into your fabric and the foam beneath plus you removing dirt that’s embedded into the phone and that’s not why were there we are there to remove the visible stains. Obviously, like I said before there are sometimes when you need an extractor. I have used mighty extractors and cheap this’ll extractors, and I don’t see a dramatic difference at all.

  • @mikeblin9614
    @mikeblin9614 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You don't need an extractor..... you just need a steamer
