    Great pattern. Its simple to tie, and it'll fish great. Thank you.

    Talk about coincidences. ...I was planning on asking if you would be able to do a tutorial on the Steelhead Hammer fly, which is basically the fly you just tied , but with a woven body and petite chenille for the thorax. This pattern looks terrific and is likely easier than getting involved with a weaving process. Lynch and I have a 4 day steelhead trip planned for Election Day week and I'll be sure to have plenty of these at hand. Thanks for the video Tim!!

      +Alan Rolloff Great to hear from you Alan. I actually was going to do the Steelhead Hammer but had some difficulty finding reliable info about it online (weaving also kinda gives me the willies). Hope you guys have a great trip. Let me know how you do.

    Will this pattern work well in low, clear water conditions?

      +goodfly1 The stuff I used in the video is called Bondic and although it's relatively new, it's widely available through online sources ie. Amazon. Having the resin and UV light in the same pen is a great idea and the stuff really dries tack free.

    Have you had trouble with the bondic turning dark or yellowing.? I tried it and had that problem. Maybe the stuff I got was old or bad?

    • @tightlinevideo
      @tightlinevideo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TNtreasurehunter I have not as yet had that problem. I've been using Bondic for about three months now and the flies I tied back then haven't yellowed, but they haven't been out in the sun much either.

    Is this fly something you swing or actually nymph with?

    Do you guys think this pattern would still work if you put a bead on it

    • @jarrettlandreth285
      @jarrettlandreth285 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Parker it definitely would, I’m planning on doing just that! Lead wraps would help with the taper and make it even heavier too, perfect for big deep tributaries like the NY Salmon River

    Where did you get the electric blue thread from?

    • @tightlinevideo
      @tightlinevideo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Frank Nelson It's a Wapsi product. I've had it for quite a while so I don't know if they still produce it.
