Watched the theatrical release of the first 3 episodes, had no idea it was the first 3 episodes, just thought it was an anime movie that looked interesting, went in with no expectations and know knowledge and was totally blown away. Amazing story, amazing animation, VA’s are fantastic. Been listening to the intro on loop for days, and now thinking about getting into the manga (which I’ve never done before, watched Dragonball and Naruto and never felt compelled to read the manga). Really excited for the show to drop in October!
Bro, I started reading Dandadan in 2022 when they introduced Rokuro into the series, I found it fascinating how the author manages to include all the weirdness without losing his touch. And I like all the characters. Unlike animes with this romcom vibe, DDD manages to develop the relationship between the two protagonists very well. Science Saru was the perfect choice for this anime, very excited for the adaptation and new arcs in the manga
Comment to boost you up ! The manga is amazing, and it looks like the anime is going plus ultra with the adaptation. Gonna check it as soon as it comes out
You need to read some Sakamoto Days if you haven't. It starts as an action comedy but then it hits you with some real top level fights you don't really see in modern Jump anymore. I think Ghost Fixers is pretty fun too. Without overhyping it it takes the current gen mold of urban fantasy action and mixes it with some SCP, has some nen/stand style abilities, a pretty fun cast and while it definitely leans towards a slightly younger intended audience than like JJK and Chainsaw Man I think it succeeds in being genuinely fun and cool. Currently reading Tomodachi Game, it's a bit trashy for sure but if you like mindgames it's pretty good and the main character is amazing. Elusive Samurai anime is good. It also skews a little younger in it's intended demographic and has some tonal whiplash but I think it's really fun.
Just reread the manga recently and holy shit I forgot just how good it is, I shouldn't have reread it because now I'm too excited for the anime to the point that it feels like forever until it comes out 😭
Got a weird feeling this won't get a good reception. Dandadan has the same rocky start Undead Unluck had. Now DP is bringing it back next year. So theres that. This series will have the luxury of not being in Hulu Jail. So the reception may be mixed based on the first episode. Side note. WHY IS EVERYTHING GETTING SATURATED IN A SINGLE COLOR?! its weird! First it was UU when victor popped out and now its Dadandan with the fights.
yea DanDaDan makes the dumpster fire that is JJK, look like ever more of a joke than it was from the start. DDD is definitely the next big series to carry Jump now that PEAK like MHA is done n no one else but Fujimoto is carrying Jump atm.
