I haven't been able to make royal icing as smooth as you did, i did the instructions. If i add egg whites so it becomes more liquid, it becomes hard. Could you please help my problem?

royal icing is supposed to dry hard! it needs an egg product (like egg whites or meringue powder) to do so. without it, it's simply a glaze. here is my recipe: thegracefulbaker.com/royal-icing-with-meringue-powder/
