Our Heavenly Father saved me from a 100 year prison sentence, where I was lied about. I thought my life was over until a loud voice behind a door boomed at me that He’s never left my side, why would He leave now when I needed Him? He told me to work on my relationship with Him, learn the law, and get healthier and I would be freed. 2 years later and here I am. Joel often says words that speak directly upon my life, as I’m living Psalm 18. Thank you, Joel for helping me know Him again. I love you, and I love God. Amen

God usually wants to collaborate with us to make things better. Often, prayer alone isn’t enough. God could have parted the sea for Moses, but He said, "Raise the wooden staff." God could have given water to the Israelites, but He said, "Strike the rock with your staff." God could have given Joshua victory in battle outright, but He instructed Moses to keep his staff raised in the air during the fight. Similarly, perhaps today God would tell you, "Lift that piece of paper-the ballot-and drop it in the voting box."
