  • Eskom has led a sustainable road construction using recycled coal ash as an alternative to concrete.
The power utility built an access road stretching over 750 meters across two sections in Delmas, Mpumalanga.
The road is expected to be a daily passage for trucks each weighing 34 tonnes, during the construction of a new coal conveyor belt at the Kusile Power Station in Delmas, Mpumalanga.
CEO Dan Marokane is optimistic that the coal ash beneficiation will foster job creation and stimulate regional growth.
