Starship is not human rated and will not be human rated for at least another 20+ years. There is no emergency escape system in the design of starship and there is already a proven escape system with Orion
Why not have NASA just use a Dragon to dock with Starship and then fly to the moon? It will save NASA Billions in the cost of there more expensive rockets.
they probably will. orion is a good vehicle and it does it's job well so it's a shame it'll be scrapped because the rest of SLS was trashed by greedy contractors. if they can find a way to work it into the mission i'd be happy but as things stand i dont see the point of sending crew to lunar orbit in a small vehicle and sending an empty starship to rendezvous with them there when they could just rendezvous in LEO and take them direct to the lunar surface. one solution might be to use it as a return vehicle so lunar starship would take the astronauts from LEO to lunar surface, then on return leg starship just has to hop to lunar orbit and rendezvous there so starship doesn't have to bring enough fuel for a return leg
Maybe the large pads at the bottom of the lander's legs will help. And maybe also the jagged nature of grains of soil on the moon that fit together like train-track ballast rocks that won't slip under pressure, soil which has never seen erosion from air or water polishing the grains to a round shape like on Earth.
Well I personally think if the blueprints have been finalised, they start construction of the components in the new year, they will have a year to complete the components of the interior, start fabrication of the first 2/3 lunar HLS towards end of 2025. They should have the vehicle's constructed around June of 2026, which will leave a couple of months for testing the 1st unmanned vehicle before the demo run. I'm personally not worried about SpaceX's readiness but the wildcard will be NASA as usual.
The design did not stun NASA. NASA is working with Space X on the design. The only impressive part is the amount of space available and to plan it's optimal use. Don't know if the first ship will have a enclosed lunar explorer vehicle or a open vehicle design. They need to add a side cargo door for larger enclosed vehicles.
Maybe in time they will have an Elevator that will transport Astronauts from the Moon to an Orbital Space Station that will be in permanent orbit around the Moon connected by a fixed tether !!!
!!I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 185K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks will be appreciated.
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market..
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work.. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience.
how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally.. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?
This guy did not tell the truth about lunar starship. When lunar starship is in earth orbit it has been calculated by Space x and official said it would take …now get this …10 starship fuel launch’s to transfer enough fuel to lunar starship so that it will contain sufficient fuel to burn to escape earth orbit and then land on the moon. Lunar starship is disposable and is not coming back to earth as it does not have necessary design for earth reentry. The SLS capsule will dock with lunar starship in lunar moon orbit to transfer the astronauts. The amount of launches necessary is ridiculous to get a crew to moon for a week. Go back to the Apollo design as it was less complicated.
The purpose of Apollo was to get to the moon, the purpose of starship is to reach mars, the moon is just a stepping stone. One day they might refuel via the moon but for now in orbit refuelling is a good test.
All good... not a tail stander Lunar Lander fan. Its a long ways home if Elevator fails when somebody is on the Lunar surface. or halfway up the ship... Saw an image of Rocket Lab Neutron, another tail stander, but uses tapered shape and fins to be free standing. which is less risky than mechanical landing legs on a too small diameter ship... I support the concept of multiple Lunar Landers, better chance of one actually working long term. on the Lunar white color scheme, will be interesting to see what they can get to stick to Stainless, especially with thermal variations. Thermal expansion of coating will have to match ship, or be flexible. They might want to send an unmanned mission first to test things out... like if it stands up landing, elevator works, life support function, and take off physics isnt problematic... say like the thrust plume blows a hole under the landing legs faster than ship lifts... Chances are Murphy works over time on the Moon.
i think they need paint to deflect some of the heat in space, thats why the shuttle etc is painted. the MET wasn't painted because it was discarded in orbit
Fraser Cain pointed out that only NASA receives funding $16B for missions like JWST, Perseverance on Mars, etc. that businesses could never fund: no ROI.
@alphatech4966 it's been around a while. I've seen 3 or 4 episodes on it. It was disproven quite thoroughly before. It's a dumb idea. It is however unique
The HLS Starship defeats the purpose of a reusable rocket because HLS Starship wouldn't be designed to be able to re-enter Earths atmosphere. The Mars Starship will also be non reusable and more than likely be a One Way Trip
X and Quarden Token are going to be merged. Easiest money in my life
Trump is expected to mention Quarden Token this week and the ICO is already almost sold out
Quarden Token is going to absolutely blow up
Quarden Token is easily going to hit $1 this month
Quarden Token will go 100x after launch on Binance
It makes zero sense to keep the SLS in the equation. Starship can perform the entire operation, and SLS is a waste of money.
Starship is not human rated and will not be human rated for at least another 20+ years. There is no emergency escape system in the design of starship and there is already a proven escape system with Orion
Musk's Quarden Token announcement is coming soon. Easyest money if you get in on the ICO
Highly likely there will be partnerships between X or Tesla with Quarden Token
That is Elon Musk's far-sighted thinking.
Quarden Token has two of the largest Tesla shareholders already; most likely something is coming
Leaks coming out about Trump working together with shareholders involved with Quarden Token
Why bother with a cramped tiny POS Boeing Orion spacecraft at all?
Min 1:52: ' .... for the first time since 1972' 🤔 ..... Can we double check that?
Why not have NASA just use a Dragon to dock with Starship and then fly to the moon?

First time ever, I wish I were younger. I'd love to help work on this.
What? If you were younger you would play call of duty
You can still help them by supporting them now!
How will this long capsule not fall on its face on the moon? Most recent missions to the moon toppled over on landing.
The landing thrusters are gonna be on top not on the bottom
Should be designed to land on its side like the Eagles from Space 1999. More stable, easier to exit and enter.
Explain why starship isn't being used for the total mission. After all it is being designed to carry people to Mars.
😂

makes ya wonder why we are doing artemis at all
yep how many can NASA make next to SPACE X making it's starships ??!!
The HLS can be printed out of aluminum making to lighter the stainless steel with double wall for H2O for radiation insulation.
Elon , will get it done
Go NASA ! Go SPACE X ! GO ARTEMIS ! Genesis 9:7 🙂😇🖖 & Happy Thankgiving 🦃
Nice. But our Eagle was the first 55 years ago.

4 standard windows of the regular starship?
I mean the previous design

@@Regista268 the shiny steel can also deflect heat, it acts as a mirror deflecting the suns rays
No audio!
Orion...hahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahah.....aaaaaaaahahahahahhahaahahahah!
hello my friend!
What do you think about Nasa and SpaceX's new lunar lander?
Why does NASA need to be involved? And can't we privatize NASA?
Fraser Cain pointed out that only NASA receives funding $16B for missions like JWST, Perseverance on Mars, etc. that businesses could never fund: no ROI.
🙃
Still a dumb idea
It's interesting that we haven't actually seen it yet.
@alphatech4966 it's been around a while. I've seen 3 or 4 episodes on it. It was disproven quite thoroughly before. It's a dumb idea. It is however unique
Not going to happen.
nothing would ever happen if we listened to people like you

I can almost see that tall lander falling over in the soft lunar soil after landing. Hope they test that concept first with no humans aboard.
