Plot : 1799 ജനുവരി 28 തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച. ഇൻഗ്ലണ്ടിലെ യാമത് (Yarmouth) പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിന്നും HMS പ്രോസർപ്പയിൻ (HMS Proserpine) എന്നൊരു ഫ്രിഗറ്റ് യാത്ര പുറപ്പട്ടു. പക്ഷെ ഈ കപ്പലിൽ യാത്രക്കാരോടൊപ്പം ഒരു VIP കൂടിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തോമസ് ഗ്രെൻവിൽ (Thomas Grenville) എന്ന ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് പൊളിറ്റീഷ്യൻ ആയിരുന്നു അത്. സത്യത്തിൽ ഈ കപ്പലിന്റെ യാത്രയുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ ഉദ്യേശം തന്നെ ഗ്രെൻവില്ലിനെ ജർമനിയിലെ കുക്സ് ഹാഫൻ തുറമുഖത്തു എത്തിക്കുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു. ഇത് കൂടാതെ കപ്പലിൽ രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിലൊരാൾ പൂർണ്ണഗർഭിണിയാണ്. മറ്റേയാളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഒന്പത് മാസം പ്രായമുള്ള ഒരു കുഞ്ഞുമുണ്ട്.

In 1962 or 1965 I saw a ship run aground on the Marina beach Madras due to tempest or cyclone. I learnt that effort was made to tow it to water but it broke from side. Similarly near Bombay also a ship went aground in seventies.I read in newspaper that a Gujarathi businessman took it on auction for scrap fir Re.one.In a week or two the ship started moving.Businessman made crore of rupees.But but the climax is that Income tax officials were after him for the tax on income!!!!
