Honestly, most resellers are surrounded by Yes-Men who will buy their overpriced game "flips", but eventually, emulation will help destroy these guys' "Businesses" and Resale will stop being glorified
It’s already my number one way to play old games.
The thing is some companies keep on fighting to take down emulation, but even when Nintendo used to have virtual console. It kept prices in check. Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii dropped from $80 to $20 and now that the virtual console is unavailable it is becoming more expensive again

What’s sad is any actual collector would have paid $50 in a heartbeat and been ecstatic to have some great games to play. Heck some people would even toss the guy some extra money because it’s such a great deal. Going back to what you were saying these guys point out imperfections in everything and are so greedy. $50 for Pokémon XD without the manual would be a steal alone as that game goes for well over $150+. I’m so sad those games didn’t get in a collectors hands because that was an awesome collection of games. One last note is that I think your on to something Steve. I think guys like this get a dopamine rush off of nickeling and diming to get the best deal possible.

you could even tell the guy selling the games felt a bit uncomfortable being talked down to 40, it's almost as if he knew he already was giving a pretty solid deal but this scumbag just kept squeezing out more and when you got a camera on you well the pressure is there, absolutely disgusting

Wish one of these times the guy would say “Nah, I’ll just keep them. Nope not for sale. Goodbye.” My concern when going to garage sales a long time ago was the husband, boyfriend, or kid was going to get back from little league and yank the games so I never haggled. I never chit chatted. Asked how much paid and left. Never EVER resold. Didn’t buy anything… I wasn’t going to play. Gosh. All this and I wasn’t even aware that someday someone would be watching…. 👀

@@steviefreakinc Personally if I would have walked into a deal like that, its one thing to get a great deal an know you are ripping them off, but its another thing to get a great deal and just beat them down to make it even better for yourself as you said. He should have paid the $50 or even been a little bit more nicer to him and been like you know what, here I will give you $60 if you happen to find the manuals or other games let me know I will work with you on whatever you come up with to keep a contact like that on the lookout for you. I have done it when I find games at yard sales or flea markets and get msgs all the time with notes of "hey I found some more stuff, wanna come check it out" an that way we both walk away happy. It would only take 1 bad deal that they find out about that I screwed them over or pushed down the price for them to either stop calling or to even not want to sell to me. So do better an don't rip them off if you can help it seriously.

Keep these videos coming. This mentality of guys like this is what is ruining the hobby. It's in every hobby I get it. It just sucks for the people trying to get deals on the stuff they collect that you have to fight the resellers.

I stayed here because I agree with a lot of your view points such as in this vid, he should pay the damn $50 for the lot, cmon emceemur.. There is a time and place to do the poker face game, maybe it is not on a private sale for an already good deal, but perhaps at a flea market or something.

I have always had an issue with how this dude handles business. I am a reseller myself and you all can flame me, but this dude is the reason resellers get a bad wrap. The dude went out of his way to contact this fucking joke of a person to offer less than the amount given… and for 50 bucks… I would have paid 50 just for the Pokémon game.

Grab it by the bottom so you can complain it has smudges so you can get a deal, why grab it properly, there's no potential for savings by doing that?
Like the other guy said, he's doing it to make the discs look worse and score a better deal. Or he's so confident that his resurface machine will fix it. But of course he tells the seller in the video that he's not "sure" he can buff it out. It's all just a tactic.

The only reason anybody wanted one was cuz it had mgs twin snakes. I have my copy of it still and bought it day 1,and everyone was so pissed that it wasn't coming to Xbox or ps2. So nobody cared about Nintendo during that era and now the GameCube is Jesus to many these days. It's like the Wii u. How many current Nintendo fans have channels,and hunt, and discuss who only got into Nintendo like 3 years ago. Than they wanna tell you what things where like back in the day and the importance of things(when they weren't even like they're stating)even though they where born in 2005 🤣 gaming on TH-cam has just become so gross these days

Like the convention videos you shit on us vendors but you have no idea why we are there. I'm an actual collector but yes I am a reseller I know fuck me even though I help the community with fair prices
I don’t have an issue with vendors at conventions. Just privileged Phoenix Resale at conventions. And I’m not bitter I just want people to be treated fairly and a lot of the ways these videos come off by TH-cam resellers is bad. Relying on the generosity or the ignorance of others to sell you a game cheap that you can flip for several hundreds of a percent (sometimes 1000% percent) is immoral. I’ve said in plenty of videos before that there’s a right way and wrong way to be a reseller. I even said it in this video. Why would I say that if I didn’t like resellers at all? I wouldn’t.

Dunno I agree with you on some things and disagree on ours. It's hard to know someone on a video. And yes in this case of emceemur I do think offering $40 was ridiculous even my wife said I'd have paid the $50 the guy offered.
It's hard to separate for me because I know these guys and alot of them are legit collectors. I mean shit I still watch your channel because there is some truth in all of it.
