    Qater is a syrup we put on sweets. It's just water and sugar. U cook it until the sugar is dissolved and u let it cool.. That's pretty much it!

    Can I use a roller pin to make the semolina look thin instead of it looking so thick?

      qatr or shira or sugar syrup, its name in arabic is قطر أو شيرة that we use in some arabic sweets. You can find the video also in arabic in my channel
      You can make qatr:
      Ingredients
      1 cup water
      1 ½ cups sugar
      1 teaspoon orange blossom water
      1/8 teaspoon citric acid
      Directions
      * Place water and sugar in a pot over medium heat, let it boil completely
      * Continue to boil for five minutes
      * Add the orange blossom water, citric acid and let it boil another minute
      * Immediately remove from the heat and let it cool completely
      * Yield 1 and 1/3 cups
