Wspaniałe czasy. Do dziś co jakiś czas przechodzę sobie oryginalne, wydane przez Oddworld, Abe's Exoddus pomimo 2D, fatalnej na obecne czasy grafiki - mam to gdzieś. Gra odpali na każdym obecnie sprzęcie i jest darmowa do pobrania :) Do tego świadomość, że się gra w coś co brało udział w kawałku Music Instructor + wspomnienia z lat 90 = MAGIA.
Nie powiem nie spodziewałem zobaczyć drugiego polaka

@@wll2104 Wiesz co? Chyba zwykły zbieg wydarzeń w końcówce lat 90. Akurat tak się trafiło, że u mnie w mieście na osiedlu był mały boom na breakdance. Do tego kumpel, który miał PSX i pykał w Abe'a. Tą gre z resztą już znałem wcześniej z demo Abe's Oddysee ale na PC. Do tego oczywiście budujący się wówczas fenomen Music Instructor. Wszystko się złożyło na to, że trafiłeś tu na ten komentarz :)
Pozdrowienia, aż łezka w oku się zakręciła, gierkę ogrywałem za małolata :)

Sweet childhood memories! The song gives me a full flashback into my early teenage years. I was 13/14 when this was a hit in Germany (1998/99). Almost all kids liked it. I couldn't believe that Music Instructor was an german act because I thought the music sounds too cool to be german. 🤣🤣 I liked to play the Playstation game "Abe's Exodus" as well, where all scenes are taken from. Very innovative game but also really tough.
Hi Timon! I have found your comment so relatable that I just had to reply. Born in Poland in '88, I can totally attest to your statement and back up your memories not as a nostalgic reminiscence, but as a valid and historically accurate state of things.
Back in circa '99-00, It wasn't much different here, in Poland, either! Given the UK and Germany have always set the bar of all the cool trends for the Eastern Block, and the most popular music station was Viva and not the MTV (scarely available here, back in the day of cable TV), you can bet b-boying was an all out craze - at the time, no piece of paperboard would go to waste without heads being spinned on it first. Basically, everyone loved Music Instructor and Bomfunk MCs! They were the coolest of the cool... and bear in mind that "cool" is an obsolete term, too :)
To wrap up my rant: this, alongside Playstation 1 Games and discovering Wu Tang and Cypress Hill, as well as Slayer, Black Sabbath, Aphex Twin and the Prodigy at the same time, basically sums up me at 12 y.o. Viva did really raise a generation, didn't it? I will forever blame this station for having a soft spot for a currwurst, German rap and Westbam :) Peace!
