Awesome video mate, surprised to see VISY replacing the volvos with accos cuz they really love their volvos. I really miss the old volvo FL250s back in the day because FL250s are my favourite XD.
Whitehorse council originally offered the optional lager 360Ltr recycle bin roughly 6 months prior to the old Thiess and Visy contract expiring, at which point they used the Sulo 360Ltr Kom's, much to my appreciation. When the new JJ Richards and Visy (subbed out to Future Metals) contract they offered an optional 2nd 240Ltr or larger 360Ltr bin for recycling. But given that Visy now use Mastec as their bin supplier instead of Superior pak, all new recycle bins are Mastec, which is noticeable with all of Visy's contract now.
Thanks mate, I'm always thinking of new shot and planning which trucks to get, but I have a little thing called work, which after driving a garbage truck for 8 hours and sometimes filming on the job, I cant be bothered to go out and film
Are all the recycle drivers in Whitehorse subbies? Looks a pretty professional and swift drivers who knows his job. I see you took away all the fun and pulled a few bins onto the road for him =] Cool around the end with them working together. Using two different 360Ls over there too eh?
Yes all the trucks are owned by subbies, from what i know most of the subbies are ex-thiess aka remondis subbies from the old whitehorse garbage contract. plus they have a couple of drivers who are also ex thiess who are driving for the subbies too. They have four of these 29mtr recyclers all with the yellow livery and one 22mtr Mk IV all white refuse , all mounted on Accos. Last I herd the subbies were fighting with visy over late payment and needing more trucks. the old contract had 5 volvo 6x4 trucks and should of had 6. But they never learn. Cool to see some 360L's getting dumped! Did not know Whitehorse had Sulo 360L's bins aswell thought they only had the Mastec ones
