Numbering Chemical Compounds/Complexes in MS Word

This video covers using a custom label to number compounds/molecules/complexes/whatevers sequentially in a dissertation, and how to cross-reference them.
Shortcuts include inserting the sequence field manually, and adding cross-referencing to "quick access" to make it more available if you need to do this repeatedly.

Nice video first of all. How would you go about it if you have a reaction and you want to label the different compunds in the reaction. I struggle to get the references right beneath each compund.

I would try to keep it in ChemDraw or similar where possible if it's more complicated than just providing a figure caption.
