Without the t=t, the lambda expression just points at the global variable so once you're out of the loop, t is is the last value and only that one will be used With the t=t, the variable t is passed as a paramter and the lambda function stores the current t, it is not pointong at the global variable anymore
Even though I use Tkinter now and then, I still feel it looks like a windows 95 thing 😂! Obviously you can use custom and bootstrap to make it look better

There's no easy way to do that in Tkinter that I know of, depending on the type of animation. You can always use a timer and thousands of images...
