Voices | Sunday Gathering

Hearing God's voice is a spiritual discipline we must intentionally pursue. In Joshua 7:2-13, we see how Israel’s defeat at Ai stemmed from something hidden beneath the surface-something that only the Holy Spirit could reveal. In life, the voices around us and even our own often trap us in a cycle of self-effort, where success or failure dictates our actions and feelings. But God's voice, revealed through the Holy Spirit, searches deeper, uncovering the true reasons for both victory and defeat. God doesn’t just placate our feelings; He calls us out of self-effort and into a cycle of renewal-destroying what’s meant for destruction and setting ourselves apart as sacred to Him. A transformation that is only possible through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
