I saw that question in the group and thought it would make a great topic for one of your videos. So glad to see you addressing it today. There is a lot of facing reality when you start reselling. For the first year or so, I didn't have a store and could only list the 250 listings for free. I upgraded at the end of year so I can do up to 1,000 listings but I'm slowly building my listings up. I'm only up to a little over 300 right now and sometimes it's hard to increase my listings especially during good sales periods. Not complaining though, that's a good problem to have. 😂
I sold something today going to Pahrump, NV and I couldn’t help but laugh. I immediately thought of y’all talking about that town. You are right as you read the name you start thinking about comic book sounds or (like I did) little drummer boy. 😂
Absolutely agree. Why pay for three and four storage rooms and the items are not moving or you end up having to sell almost at the price of purchase. Just have a comfortable amount in one room in your house. Yes, there might be an occasion you see a real good deal at a yard sale , that is fine. But just don't buy so much stuff and pay unnecessary monthly rates for outside storage rooms. Now, if you are fortunate to have a house with a nice large unused basement, then go for it BUT, don't fill it up with junk - you don't want to become a hoarder, as this business can make you a hoarder VERY easily.
I have a little over 800 items in my store. I’ve had in upwards of 900 items. I just can’t get my sales up- it’s crazy. I don’t have a TH-cam channel- I sell everything. If I sell a high dollar item then nothing else sells for several day. I keep plugging away. I keep my boxes and poly bags ready just incase I get lots of sells all at once- wishful thinking on my part. I’m not good talking on camera so can’t really foresee a successful TH-cam channel in my future. It’s hard being a reseller.
I'm in a good spot as a reseller. I'm retired, drawing a pension, and sell on eBay part time for some extra cash. Like you said, making an extra 2 to 3 grand a month isn't too hard.

Each time I hear you mention the $2000 eBay store buy, I wonder about all the treasure you unbox. It makes me want to dig through them with you. It would be interesting to me and perhaps others to watch you unbox a few and comment on your process to keep or donate. Perhaps a future video......?

I'm a part time reseller in the UK, and carry around 450 items at any one time, even then you cant always carry "The Good Stuff" but generally I make around £1K a month so that logic is sound. I loved seeing those water bottles seem to have sold consistently over the last 4 or 5 videos, seemed to turn into a nice little mini bolo
If I list multiple items that are the same, but with different quantities, I like to label it with the number of items so I don't make that mistake. I'll write the amount on the wrong side of a post it and stick it inside the bag. That way I can see it from the outside, it doesn't get knocked off, and no ink will possibly get on the item. (That's a mouthful, but I think you get the idea!) 😜
Im an everything seller. Right now ive got 432 items listed which is the highest amount to date. Last 90 days 23k, last 31 days 10k with 397 sold. Average sales price is around $74 last i checked. I do have to mention a had a really big sell on a high end pocket knife for 1500 so that was a big part

Hey ya'll at your time stamp of 24 minutes, ya'll where talking about a offer that was low, and you declined, then few minutes later it sold for full asking price. This happened to me last week, Selling some Timberland boots for $50, got offer for $10, I declined 10 minutes later sold for asking price and to someone different. Just wanted to share with ya'll, Great videos you make.
It depends on what you sell. I have 10,000 listings because that gives you the lowest cost per listing in an ebay store. I sell a certain niche that sells slowly, but huge profit margins when they sell. The eBay store is $60/mo whether you have 2,000 or 10,000 listings.
I think you are a little responsible for Cajun cookbooks being a little harder to source. Not long after you startred getting into them a little more, the estate sale lots with them started getting a little more competative. On the Cajun cookbooks, you do have the cream of the crop.
Being full time would be a big help for going to estate sales on opening day or going to goodwill and the bins during 8 to 5 hours…….. but no guarantee you would still find good profitable items at a decent price…….

Hmm im reselling video games part time as I work a normal job as well that might change though lol and I only have a 350 item store so far getting $7k per 30days in sales been doing it for 7 weeks now with a 14,500 90 day so can only see it getting bigger

I'm pretty sure they're not doing a new Back To The Future movie. The trailer was fan made and pretty much everyone involed in the original has said they don't want a new movie/reboot. Which I'm totally OK with 💯
I came across a video game store on eBay they had around 200 listings with 1800 sold in the past 90 days, so it's possible just hard to get that much good stuff consistently
Haha I responded to that post and I just don't get it? I have over 2800 items listed in my store and I do have some that have been on for a very long time and some that have been on for a year. Every once and awhile I get a surprise that something really old sold, anyways if the world was perfect I would buy today and sell tomorrow but in the real world that doesn't happen or work. By the way I sell vintage electrical components so some of the great buys I get might be for an item that I paid $1 for and it will sell for $150 but I have to wait until someone needs a specific bus bar for a specific 2 way radio lol.

If I have a bad week I run into no income for a while because I have no other items to fall back on. Basically no days off. There is security to having a large store because things move over time IMO. However, I love this and wouldn't go back to what I was doing before lol.

Met an eBayer today that has 15K items listed and sold 22K last 90 days! Only 17 employees. Insane numbers
