This is a real problem. I am dealing with this at the moment as well. Working on the Horizon Forbidden West Platinum but starting to get the itch to play Bloodborne. I’m making myself finish Horizon first😂
Sometimes, it's worth taking a step back and spending some time in reflection. You can Just platinum the games you adore, and just do what you're happy with with the rest. Happy with is the key word, once you feel yourself slugging through, just stop. I know it's not that easy when you first try, but it also really is that simple. From a fellow ex completionist.
@@ChristopherCraven yeah I'm working on it but my OCD will drive me nuts if I don't finish a game. It's bad enough that I started trophy hunting after not caring for a while so I have unfinished games.on top of that I was only worried about the platinum at first so I have a lot of games that don't have 100% or I don't I have the dlc for that are worth more than the game itself
Cult of the Lamb's cutesy art style is what pulled my fiance in to get her loving a game she wouldve never played otherwise. We are very much looking forward to the co-op mode later this summer
Great video. My backlog is bad enough that if I'm asked what my favorite video game is, it's the video game called buying a video game :) Trying to wrap up some games in my backlog. Aliens Dark Descent, They Are Billions and Allan Wake 2 to name a few.
That's so funny you mention Persona 5 cus I was literally dreading it before you said that all through the video bcus I also wanna finish, but man that is a bigggg game.
EZ2 protagonist be like: "I am Entropy Zero" Everyone: "What the fck?" 😮 But fr, this is one of THE best mods that got their own Steam pages, rightfully so! It's almost a CRIME that bad mods like Hunt Down The Freeman and mid mods like Black Mesa require you to pay* their game while EZ1+2 are FREE. Best HL2 mods are FREE while bad or mediocre one's cost money...
As someone who has over 800 games in their backlog and feels guilty about it every day (I feel I HAVE to 100% them and then that puts me off playing them), this video has given me the motivation to start playing through some of the games I have in there....eventually
1:02 Yeah the PC port ran aweful at the start, which was very disapointing. I had to run it at low which almost made it look like playing the OG on RPCS3 emulator :) I canceled my preorder and had to gather with friendly pirates that put the patches back in. The new versions runs pretty good on my PC ( 12900 + 380ti laptop) on Ultra 1440p now and to me is the best way to play this masterpiece. On one side its nice to have a PC port at all ( as said the only way before was emulation), But its sad that they rushed this out the door just to meet the release of the TV series.
What i love about the insomniac spiderman games is that they just keep getting better and better. The 1st one was amazing in almost every single aspect. Miles Morales gets A LOT of hate only for the gameplay time and that it's priced the same as the first one (which yeah, its a fresking joke). But Miles Morales like just improves basically everything. The set pieces in the game are more fun and better, the swining is better, combat is better, and the animation is better. The game being short actually benefits it a bit imo. It doesn't leave as much dead time but gets to the actually fun set pieces faster. But then Spiderman 2 just genuinely destroys them both in upgrades & quality.
I never understand that I can play endless games like apex or factory builders for many many hours for days/weeks but singleplayer games are like climbing Mount Everest I start them, play a few hours and the next day I am not feeling it and it feel like a challenge. And not because the games are hard.
Me telling myself that I would buy less games this year and instead beat more games, then me buying like 10+ games I missed out on last year and only beating a few of them because Im addicted to trophies
My big problem was that I would be stuck with the idea of if I didn’t 100% a game I’d be wasting money, thank god I lost that mindset because there was a couple games where my experience with a game went from good to bad because I would stick to a game just to get all the achievements/ getting every item and side quests
Lol liking GOTG is not a hot take at all, everyone who played it absolutely think it's a 9 or 10, myself included. Issue is it flew under a lot of people's radar or they assumed it would suck because of Avengers but I always try to hype it up and tell people to give it a shot cause it honestly deserves to be played at least once.
My backlog stares at me but i dont stare back lest the shame consume me. Jokes aside I have 653 games on my steam account and I've completed 62 of them. It's dire. Currently I'm playing through Fallout 4, New Vegas, Fallout 3, Dark Souls Remaster and Elden Ring.
3 Bethesda games at once is wild, but I get you on the amount of games. I’m at around 205 games on steam and 20 physically and my wishlist is around 1.3k games and that haunts me. Plus all the games coming out every year it’s never ending lol.
Mfw all Backlog videos seem to have FF or other JRPGs in them even though I have a backlog and hate JRPGs(besides maybe Persona, I haven't played it): 💀
I try and do a backlog challenge but I never stick to it haha I agree with Callisto protocol. It's just mid. Should of been better but it just was average. The melee is average too.
56:19 No it's actually *worse* than you think. It's really only enjoyable for people who like Ubisoft games 💀 For real, RPG connoisseurs, F4 was so bad it's dissapointing, look I WANT to like Bethesda games but I can't when they continue to dumb down RPG elements more and more. Starfield is just end product of what F4 started so it's bizarre he didn't notice it xd.
I actually like your style in the edit and how to approach type of things. However it makes me sad, that you dropped Outriders after 2 hours. You barely left the Tutorial and you didn't came across all of the special moves (no matter what class you were playing) 😢
-i dont want to spoil turbo overkill Spoils ending of part 2 last of us without warning.. Autistic hahahahh dislike te video and learn not to spoil endings of games or atleast tell that you will spoil
Thank you all so much for your support on this series! It will be back with a new title/gimmick soon.
How's about this, I give you my logins, and you destroy my backlog, do we have a deal or do we have a deal
DEAL
@@Proxidist future video title, “I hacked into a viewers accounts and mastered 5 games for them.”
It's even worse if you're a trophy hunter. I can't just beat the game I need to 100% them or I can't move on so I'll never catch up
I can relate to this soo much

you're actually doing something awesome, that's encouraging me to go and play at least some of the 400 games i bought and never played

Naughty Dog didn't port TLoU to PC. Iron Galaxy did. The morons behind the Arkham Knight port.

its cool to see the evolution of your video creation skills over all this time :)

You don't need a backlog, just play whatever you want
It helps people be organized

Shadow warrior 1 is underrated as hell. Maybe I'm nostalgia pilled, idk

Anyone can get through their backlog if they just play the games for a few hours and drop them. They'll never get the full experience though.

No More Heroes was arguably better with the Wii controls.
What kind of man lets stardew sit, unplayed, for 7 years?

AYYY NMH2 mentioned !! That game sucks compared to the first tho I’m happy you see that
Good vid
bro I was already _sick_ of vent sections in 2001 after the very first one in the Pillar of Autumn in Halo CE. Screw vent sections

Didn't you upload this the other day?
Edit: Oh, its a compilation, bruh
Yeah, I wanted to put some filler on the channel while I work on bigger projects so theres at least something/it doesn't make my channel inactive
Oh shit, its a compilation?

You should play outer wilds!
Is a backlog of ca. 60 games bad?
Edit: They're 80 now...
Wait you're 23? 23 gang yeahhh
come on guys own up how many games you got in the backlog? i'll go first at 145 lmao
So this is just most of them?
