Using the Negative Foil Pieces! Trash into Treasure

- In this video, I show you a fun way to use the negative pieces that you peel away when using Deco-Foil and either Poly-Glaze sheets or decorative Toner sheets! It's way too hard to throw away those beautiful negative peel offs, and sometimes you want a white background. In this video, I show you how to use regular card stock to achieve the look!

Love watching you Gina. Beautiful card, gorgeous technique. I love watching you and your husband interact. I think you’re wonderful together. As I was watching this technique, I was getting a bunch of ideas. Actually you could glue the leaves back to back and use them for Christmas tree decorations. I thought of this because my tree is all gold and white. not enough glitz in the world for me.🤗🤩🥰

Beautiful card! Those cut out leaves are stunning. They look like they've been gilded or something. If they weren't paper they would make stunning earrings.

The 5 setting on the minc was originally for adhering glitter sheets instead of foil. Don't know if they still sell them or not.
I didn't understand how the thermoweb carrier sheets could work especially with a laminator since silicone is heat proof but maybe the silicone gets hot enough. Typically with a laminator you only want to use a folded piece of parchment or printer paper for a carrier sheet. But the minc is definitely much better of course.

Oh migosh! I am so glad to have this tip with the dusting cloth… I just did a ton of foiling tonight with some things I printed on my laser printer. I think it would really make a difference. Also just got some poly glaze sheets and can’t wait to use them. So glad I saw this first.

I'm wondering if a clean coffee filter would work as a "dusting cloth" with this technique. Coffee filters are lint free and work great for cleaning windows and other glassware.

Hi Gina, would it be easier to put the negative sheet of polyglase back through the mink to adhere to the negative side on the sheet of paper?
run your dies through your machine a couple of times, that should help with the paper coming out.

Can you use spellbinders, hot foil machine?
Not with the Toner Foil. You’d have to use the Hot Foil with a foil die. The Poly Sheets are for the Deco Foil.
