How are you getting on this autumn?

With the rain we've had recently the weeds at the churchyard I help look after have gone bananas especially on the gravel paths. Hoeing is less effective with the ground being damper

They have gone a crazy! In the few days since filming weeds have covered everywhere with exposed soil. I’ve found using a hand fork the most successful so far. Not the best option if you have a bad back or knees. Like you say, hoe’s get clogged up. Are you finding any bulbs coming up at the churchyard? We seem to be having a second spring here and have crocus’ flowering!!

@@mygardeningjourney3554 Not seen much in the way of bulbs yet. Churchyard is at Stoke Holy Cross near Norwich where there is a good display of hardy cyclamen at moment. Your crocus could be the autumn crocus, otherwise known as naked ladies!

@@chrislawn6158 I may have to head over that way to see the cyclamen 😀. I’ve not seen my crocuses come up this time of year before. It’ll be interesting to see if the hot weather we’ve had has confused any plants.
