My 40 year old son found Dan a year ago. He said come here mom, you're gonna Love this. A lot going on but 2 months ago late at night I listened to Amazing Grace. Wow, I cried so hard. I've listened to him every night before bed.. He is AMAZING! A person can listen to any song from opera, classic rock to the Best Religious song of all time and fall totally in Love.. I am totally hooked. He rocks Aerosmith, Boston, the Eagles and beyond... You're talking about the 71 year old lady, I'm 61 and I Love everyone of his songs.. He is one of the Best , Greatest singers of all time in my book...

Loved your comments! Some described my reaction, almost one year ago, of the first time I heard Amazing Grace. Had no idea who Dan Vasc was. I was completely blown away! Like most others, I had heard this song many many times, but when I heard Dan's version, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was incredible... unbelievably triumphat! 😂 I am 81 and never really liked "Metal".... Dan has completely changed me. I don't like all of it (like any listener of any genre), but there is SO much more that I like, I amaze myself sometimes. I haven't heard Dan sing any Country & Western yet. I wonder what he could do with the old classic, "Ghost Riders of the Sky."
Dan's version of "All I need", and "Never enough" are beyond amazing. Everything this man sings, takes it to another level.

I have listened to numerous covers by Dan Vasc and then compared them to the originals. So far Dan has come out on top. I think it is because very few singers have his vocal range and his ability to exploit that incredible range. I'm 81, and over the years I have listened to all the great singers from Caruso to Pavarotti, and all the ones in between, but Dan is in a class by himself.

Oh, and that glorious hair, handsome presence and personality raise the bar even higher. BTW, Gethsemane grabs my heart and holds it to the very end - you can feel the conflict within His heart as the time nears.

I can't believe next month will mark my three-year Dan-niversary already! On 9/15/20, I heard Dan for the first time, The Sound of Silence. Since then, I've been happily lost down this rabbit hole! I'm especially fond of the DragonForce covers, especially this one and Starfire. Excellent, excellent reaction!

You need to check out his cover of the Phantom of the Opera's "Music of the Night" I believe it's called. You can really hear his operatic training with that song. It's AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!

I know it’s not metal, but could you please react to Dan singing Nessun Dorma. It’s from Puccini’s Italian opera Turandot. It’ll give you head to toe goosebumps. One of the more difficult opera songs for the male tenor voice and Dan makes it look effortless of course ❤❤❤

Thank you for this reaction and insight in the lyrics! I like these 'fantasy story' type of songs and wow, that guitar. I'm going to listen more Dragonforce lol. Dan Vasc is amazing as always, you come to expect this standard from him. My fav cover of his until now is 'Sleeping sun' but I think I listened to maybe 10% of the list.
PS: You're going to love Burn, butcher, burn :D Henry Cavill will go on to do greater things I'm sure, he deserves it.
Sleeping Sun is mesmerizingly beautiful. Unfortunately, it was removed from his due to copyright issues. You can find it on Karla Bessa’s channel, along with some others worth checking out.

This is one of my fave songs Dan does - it's the ultimate Dan song.......he's king of the warriors! And I love love love his hair in this one - it's my fave style he does. And yes I'm a woman also, but I don't get offended by his twitter comments....they make my day!

Sebs, add me to the list of women who have fallen for Dan Vasc. This song along with Loch Lomond are my two very favorites, but I love all his others as well. I know there are several reactors who are trying to set up interviews with Dan as well. I wish you, and them, luck in getting in touch with him. Some new interviews would be cool to see. I'd say 99.9% of all women, actually. There was a commenter on one of his recent Facebook reel posts, who started bad-mouthing him and spouting stuff I won't repeat, and calling him a "misogynist" (woman-hater), which he is not. She based her theory on the intro to the reel for "Breaking the Silence." She basically said (what an ego) that he was "dissing" HER, because he looked right at HER in that intro, and called HER a "blue-haired land whale." Sheesh!
There are, of course, all SORTS of interpretations "out there," about that phrase, but basically what he and Erik Grönwall were saying throughout their intro to the reel, was that they are "breaking the silence," that is always being decreed by the "woke" culture--as a whole. They weren't picking on either one TYPE of person, or one PERSON, at all. It's just that they were/are letting it be known that they are refusing to be pushed around, just as a WHOLE lot of other people are. 😀

Closer and closer!!! Dan's channel subs hit 642K on 04/06/23. Today (08/18/23)--not quite five months out--he's up to 848K (at 2:17 PM CDT). They were "only" at 847K just two hours ago. Since the 16th, they've jumped up by 11K!

I'm a big fan of you both. Burn Butcher Burn is incredible. I also love his cover of Helloween's "Tale that Wasn't Right" and Roy Khan's "For All". But I'm hard pressed to find a Dan Vasc work that isn't my favorite. He has great presence for sure and emotes every song as well as sings it to perfection. I'm so in envy of his voice. I love to sing and will never even come close even without the metal screams. What he does is incredible. BTW I do enjoy your reaction to country songs as well as I love country too.
"For All" is one of my favorites...also "Son of Pain," and I have to stop there, or I'd just go on writing titles to the 242 on his channel, plus the dozens of collabs out there on other channels. ;-)

I’m pushing 80. I have been trying to listen to all of Dan’s videos since I discovered him singing Amazing Grace a couple of months ago. As a senior I appreciate the comparisons to Caruso and Mario Lanza as my mother often played their records and took me to some of their movies when I was very young.

Yes, it is almost impossible to choose even 5-10 favorite Dan Vasc songs… however the most emotionally raw song he recorded is An American Triology…recording it just one week after his father died of cancer 5 years ago. Also watch his video of Gethsemane, from JC Superstar, it is spectacular! There truly isn’t anything he can’t sing with incredible power, emotion, grit, passion and the list could go on and from on! I completely agree about being madly in love with this remarkable human, he gives us his soul and he makes our soul scream with joy! 🤗❤️🫶🏻🧔🏻♀️🫡🎶🙏🏻🥰

Oh my gosh!! So love DragonForce and I saw their show in Dallas last week. I had the honoring of meeting them and spent about 30 minutes with Herman Li-who admires “ our” Dan Basc. I think he used the words “extremely skilled and magical”. Great reaction !!

Great reaction. Loved Dans song and the way he smiled with joy through the whole positive strong and powerful song. I had just wathed a positive, loving mothers day song that was so emotional that I fell apart and couldn't get myself back together. Then, I realized listening to Dan Vasc sing powerful uplifting battle sings would probably do it. A couple more sings, including I’ll Make a Man Out Of You will bet me back to feeling strong.
