Hey Jaime - I love it when you do the KEEP, DONATE + THROW piles. Would be super helpful if you could list the foundations in the same way in the description box. Side Q? - what's your top 3 recommendations for a luxury brand lightweight, low-med coverage foundation? Perhaps you can do a video on the top 3 lightweight, med and full coverage LUXURY foundations! 😮
For me personally if you have the same kind of skin as Jamie (which I do at least from what she has said about her skin) I love the bite beauty, makeup forever reboot, and Bobbi brown skin foundations!!
Oh no! I wanted to hear what you thought about the thrive buildable blur and I saw it in the bin but then you didn’t mention it. Good? Bad? Meh? I didn’t see it in either keep or give away
Hey Jamie, I really recommend Estée Lauder futurist hydra rescue foundation. It’s really thin and lightweight, but has a nice medium buildable coverage. The finish is dewy, and radiant but very natural. It’s very smoothing and last really well on the skin.
The hyaluronic acid in the pretty fresh foundation is probably the reason you get dried out by it because hyaluronic is probably drawing moisture from your skin because you have to put an occlusive seal on it to actually have it moisturize your skin rather than the opposite.
I love this triple layer hydration combo I figured out a few month ago: hyaluronic acid, aqua bomb gel moisturizer, retinol in squalene. Super hydrated, soft face
Ritu Parikh be careful with the aqua bomb. It has denatured alcohol very very high up on the ingredients list. It was my holy grail for 3 years before I discovered that :( as soon as I stopped using it my skin was less red and I didn’t even realize i had redness to begin with. Very dangerous combo especially with a retinol
I love the pretty fresh. I don't find it drying at all. I mean I definitely moisturize before this but i've used this without a heavy moisturizer and it looked pretty good!
YaY!!! I have been binge watching declutters during this quarantine. This makes me very happy actually, lip declutters are my least fave. I love base products and eyeshadow palettes
I almost had a mini heart attack when you started talking about Luminous Silk but was so glad you decided to keep it! One of the HGs, used it for my wedding and photographed beautifully! x
I love declutter videos! So satisfying. I have and love the La Mer foundation. I have dry skin, but I’m also in my early 40’s so maybe that’s why it works so well for me. It melts into skin, just gives a flawless and natural finish. Doesn’t settle into fine lines.
My fav foundation is the new Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue. Soooooo good! I have dry 40 yr old skin and it makes my skin look hydrated, smooth, even, healthy. Perfection!
Hey! I was wondering if you had any thoughts of how the estee lauder compares to the it cosmetics cc cream or the ysl all in one glow foudnation, if you've tried any of those :)
I have a drier skin type and I have this foundation and it looks great, but I wore it three days in a row and it dried out my skin so bad it took over a week to feel back to normal. It will have to be a once in a while Foundation for me...
@@Sarahf-97 The Estee Lauder Futurist is a thinner more hydrating formula than IT CC cream, I find it to look more natural. I've heard many people say it compares similarly to the Lancome Skin Feels Good but has a higher coverage than the Lancome.
@@melissanicoleH. Thanks, that's really useful because I always found the it cosmetics to sometimes be a little too dry and heavy :) I'm probably going to go ahead and pick up the Estee Lauder. xx
I love these videos! I know everyone has different skin types and textures but it is still super helpful to know all the facts about all these foundations!
Great video- much more organized than other youtubers declutter videos, very easy to watch. Can’t pick just one fav foundation- too many good ones out there- top 3 atm are hourglass stick, CT airbrush ff, and shiseido synchro skin. Your videos are always a joy to watch!❤️
Hyaluronic acid is supposed to suck moisture- if you'll apply it on a super dry base, it'll suck moisture from your skin too. Anything with hyaluronic acid should be applied on a tacky face so that it sucks moisture from air and not your face. Maybe this will help you with retrying those foundations!
We have a similar foundation preference and skin type and I really am loving the new Estée Lauder futurist hydra rescue . It’s so versatile. If I apply it with a sponge its light coverage and if I want more coverage I use the brush ! It also isn’t super sticky it sets down pretty nice ! You gotta give it a try !
I love the new covergirl skin milk! It’s so lightweight and I usually just apply it on “no makeup” days to even out my skin tone. I’ve seen some mix reviews on it but I’m definitely a fan.
Great video! I adore the La Mer! It's my favorite. Long lasting, natural coverage. Price tag is awful, of course, but the bottle lasts me forever using 1 pump per day.
i did like the cover girl skin milk it’s legit like a step above the glossier skin tint which i use like every day - for fans of: the new hydrating formula of the laura mercier tinted moisturizer, bite beauty change maker, hourglass hyaluronic skin tint
Hi Jamie, how are you planning on disposing, sustainably, those foundations which you aren't going to pass on? Do you have a Terracycle near you? Or another option to recycle beauty packaging instead of sending it to landfill? I think that would have been a good point to discuss in this and future declutter videos.
You’re 100% right about the dior backstage foundation. It’s better for oily skin. I’m mostly and it stays really well on me except for in my dry spots where it starts to breakup after a long day. I still love it because I never wear my foundation for more than 8 hours so I’m normally okay. I loved hearing you talk about these foundations and being so honest about them.
Two of my faves that I think you would love: Wander Nude Illusion liquid foundation (looks so natural but it’s buildable and great for dry skin) and the Beautycounter Tint skin (hydrating and looks flawless!).
I really enjoyed this format of a declutter! Detailed but not overwhelming and I love your explanations! I always come back to bareminerals original loose powder foundation. I have always preferred the look over any liquid foundation, but I’m curious to try stick foundations. Great video as always 💓
I made a frankenfoundation out of Glossier skin tint, Nars Sheer Glow, and Bite Changemaker last week and honestly it’s AMAZING. Considering the Nars was too yellow for me, the Bite was slightly too dry, and the Glossier was too sheer...the mix is a perfect, light coverage but still coverage, dewy foundation that matches my pale af skin perfectly!
Can you PLEASE do a sunscreen tutorial or favorites?? I've tried so many "holy grail" sunscreens and they ALWAYS make my foundation look awful.... would love some tips and tricks
had to stop watching the great Canadian bake show to watch this IMMEDIATELY. I just started the video, but i have to say, the way that you format these videos isn't just you showing the sorting and end result, but actually giving shout outs to why you loved (or didn't) certain formulas/colours/textures etc. i'm dying to see your next lipstick declutter, because in one of your first ones i discovered globetrotter by maybelline - you're so correct, it is SUCH a unique colour and i'm complimented so much every time i wear it.
You are rare species! The kind that makes thorough declutters and actually reviews products without rushing while doing it. I adore watching your foundation declutters❤️ base product declutters are my favorite thing to watch from youtube. Just a moment ago I watched a makeup declutter from someone else and the absurd amount of products just got me anxious and there weren't even any products reviewed. If a person owns a full room of makeup, the products themselves don't feel as precious anymore. It becomes trash and declutter.
love these type of videos! jamie not if you did this but the kosas needs to be shaken first :) i had that same problem when i first bought it till i saw the shake me writing lol and changed my whole perspective on it. i have oily skin and love it ❤
I totally agree the pretty fresh from colourpop was definitely not hydrating for me. I looked dried out really fast. I tried it multiple times with different hydrating primers and moisturizers and it still looked that way.
i LOVED this video so much! Thank you! Im a foundation junkie with dry skin so hearing all yours thoughts on a wide range of foundations in different price ranges was perfect!
The Ordinary High Coverage Foundation ;) 1) Incredibly pigmented 2) No scent 3) Build-able coverage 4) Blends well w/ Oils (if you're dry...I watch your videos so I know you're dry) 5) 1 bottle lasts a long time 6) Ranked as 2 on EWG's Skin Deep app
SPEAKING OF FOUNDATION I’m Planning my Sephora cart for the VIB sale, and I TRULY can’t decide which new foundation I wanna try. (I know your recommendations are coming soon but I had such a specific question I figured I’d ask here LOL) deciding bn the MUF Reboot or Bite Changemaker! What did you like better??? Thanks for helping a girl out 😘
The MUFE reboot is sooooo gorgeous. I think it will definitely be so nice for summer. Plus it's got vitamin c and other skincare ingredients. And it mixes so well with other foundations if you felt like you wanted more coverage but also wanted to keep that hydrated-but-not-greasy-goddess skin for sure! It runs half a shade-ish dark though! If in doubt, order a bit light!
I was really hoping to love the Reboot foundation but it smelled like perfume and did not dissipate. If you don’t mind heavy fragrance, it does have a nice finish. I just couldn’t get over the scent
I thoroughly enjoyed this. And I had a good chuckle when you said “who’s shade is this?” on the “orangey” tint - I was like “actually it’s mine, I beg your pardon!” 😆
LOVED THIS. My current favourites are the Missha bb cream in combination with a heavy concealer underneath on my problem areas, the catrice dupe for Fenty, and the max factor facefinity. The max factor is the first foundation I’ve actually had a strong opinion about and loved.
This was suuuuuuuper helpful as I have very dry skin, so thank you so much for this!! My current loves are the Nudestix tinted cover and MAC face and body foundation. :)
Can you please review the MUFE Walter Blend foundation? Do you think it is similar to the Old MUFE face and body foundation? So happy I can finally find someone with my skin type 🙌🙌
I go between the MUFE water blend and the new reboot foundations, and I think the water blend is very similar to the old f&b, but the formula is slightly improved. It's got an even more skin like finish, and dries down to more of a skin texture instead of drying down with that sort of "vinyl-ish" layer that the f&b dried down to. It's beautiful and mixes really well with other products if you feel like you need a lil more coverage as the coverage on it is VERY sheer, but buildable if you emulsify it between your fingers before applying it.
Jamie what is the other half of the drawer??!! Another declutter vid!!?? Also looking into the Armani fusion makeup!! And the bareminerals foundation stick 🤔👍🏻 love these videos ❤️
Thanks for giving USEFUL explanations for why you kept or got rid of each foundation. Makes this a great reference video for the future! During quarantine I have been trying out all of my neglected foundation samples, because if something doesn't look or feel good on my face when I'm sitting at home, it's certainly not going to work out in the world! Today I actually did not get along with the MUFE Ultra HD Foundation (the only foundation to ever make me look oily) and next up is going to be the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Stick.
I looove that smashbox studio skin 15 hour wear hydrating foundation! And I have oily-combination skin but it works so well for me too. I love a skin-like light- medium finish as well. It’s so underrated!
Woohoo, a declutter..you’re definitely saving me from complete boredom right now!!🗑😬🙌🏻 You did an amazing job decluttering your foundations and thank you for keeping all of us distracted and entertained!! Hope you’re continuing to stay safe and enjoying your weekend. Love you, Jamie!!💛😘 xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo 🐺🐍🐆
Jamie, if you haven’t tried the Lancôme Skin Feels Good Skin Tint, I feel like you would absolutely LOVE it. It’s the coverage you like, extra hydrating, and so beautiful on the skin. Seems right up your alley!!! :)
I love the cover girl skin milk however when you apply it with a brush/sponge it has like white dots in it. It’s hard to explain but it has a weird reaction. I absolutely love the finish and light coverage of it, but that’s the only problem. I actually apply it with my hands which will make most people cringe because that makes coverage go away, however I love light coverage. All I need in a foundation is to match my skin with my body.
Monique Robledo oh my god I know what you’re talking about does anyone know what this is? I only ever get it when I mix the nars natural radiance longware with the Laura mercier ginger moisturizer it’s confuses me SO much
I think the white chunks might be the coconut milk in it! It has a similar texture to the canned coconut milk I grew up cooking with.. but the foundation is so lovely I can look past the chunks and just pick them out of the foundation haha.
Not that you’ll see this but for the Dior backstage try it with the smashbox primer oil and OMG you’ll be in loooove with it. I like it with or without depending on what I need it for summer or winter.
My new holy grail / favorite complexion product right now so the colourpop pretty fresh tinted moisturizer but I’m extremely oily!! And it lasts literally ALLL day when I set it even if I use a light amount of powder. While still looking like skin and not feeling heavy at all. So basically, if you’re oily and you’re nervous but want to try. I highly recommend. It also has nice buildable coverage.
I loveee declutter videos. It’s like a hundred mini reviews on a specific category 😂. I especially love base products such as foundation, primer, concealer, powder ❤️My Fav 😍
Omg the dream radiant liquid foundation is one of my favorites and it's actually dewy!! I have an oily skin type so I have to powder a little but it's so pretty and wears pretty well. It's medium to full coverage. Sometimes I mix it with a moisturizer for a lighter coverage. It's not a 12hr wear for me but more so an 8hr wear. Maybe with drier skin it lasts longer? Definitely don't let this one travel to the back of your collection!
Erborian cc cream in “light” , Urban Decay Naked Skin & IT Cosmetics cc in “Matte in light/medium” are my current faves! Totally agree with you about the Fenty Hydrating foundation, I desperately wanted it to work but no matter what moisturiser/primer I used throughout the day it would cling to dry patches, slide about or disappear...I just didn’t understand it at all..gave it to my cousin who is 20 & she loved it plus it looks awesome on her....🤷♀️👍🏻
I prefer when you put them into three sections with the keep, donate and throw away piles but love these declutter videos they're so satisfying xx

Yeah, the colors are terrible, but the finish and feel is nice. I mix it with my regular sunscreen to tint it, but won't repurchase when I use it up.

the dior backstage foundation is my go to foundation perfect for my combination skin!
This was suuuuuuuper helpful as I have very dry skin, so thank you so much for this!! My current loves are the Nudestix tinted cover and MAC face and body foundation. :)
I would love if you made a video about the products in your everyday vanity!
So out of the group that you kept can you name your top 5?? Very helpful! You have the same skin quality & shade as mine👍🏼
Jamie what is the other half of the drawer??!! Another declutter vid!!?? Also looking into the Armani fusion makeup!! And the bareminerals foundation stick 🤔👍🏻 love these videos ❤️

I can’t get the La mer foundation to work for me either! But just can’t get myself to declutter just yet!! 😩
The only two foundations in my collection right now are the covergirl skin milk and the bare minerals stick foundation! I love them both!
I need your skincare and makeup recs for the Sephora sale!
I have been loving Stila’s Hide and Chic foundation. I find hardly anyone talks about it. I have dry combo mature skin and it works well for me.
Jen P. It’s SO good !!!
Most coherent, USEFULFoundation Declutters of the many I have seen!
Not that you’ll see this but for the Dior backstage try it with the smashbox primer oil and OMG you’ll be in loooove with it. I like it with or without depending on what I need it for summer or winter.
Have you not tried the new Ilia ? I am super in love with it. ❤️❤️😘🌞
Jamie!! how do the nudestix and bite foundations compare? I’m deciding between those and the Laura mercier for an easy everyday go to
My new holy grail / favorite complexion product right now so the colourpop pretty fresh tinted moisturizer but I’m extremely oily!!
I don't think you mention your Urban Decay new Naked Foundation(?) correct me if i'm wrong, but I do see them on the last tray.
And just saw the end declutter and it was so satisfying! 😍😍
