Nice video Ollie. The GCR is some set-up. Are we looking at a Scarab nest, at Colne Valley? Some hope. Good to see the 'Quick-Hitch' mini-Artic gear working and all. All the best to them to get the tin-worm out. We had a 1/2 ton dumper on a farm...had to tow start it on cold days! Some great shots of a great day out. Keep Safe now. Cheers Ollie!

Yes mate, I'd say this type it video is a winner - it's lovely having a look around and most importantly - seeing some locos running, now get your act together so we can see your brake van on a train! 😎😎🤘
The brake van is slow but its making good progress, hopefully another video update of that on the way!

Enjoyed the change in this vid, particularly killing the background music when an engine was running, just a personal thing , but I’ve watched so many videos with music playing over the top, when I just want to hear the sounds of the machinery and the background noise, so well done.
Glad you enjoyed it, I try my best not to cover up the sounds of locos but sometimes the shots are ruined by screaming kids etc which make it for worse viewing then if it was just music!
Enjoyed that Ollie, good the see road vehicles associated with the railways preserved. Had planned to attend the event but was on one of my work weekend's rotating rest days 😒

Hi Ollie Yes the GCR is a fantastic preserved railway and with the various wagon groups based there is a great place for wagon enthusiasts,. This style of video is ok for me, at least it shows a variety of things in general, not just loco's etc. Thanks

Nice. I am going to their bonfire night this week and will travel by train from Leicester South railway station. It is a fab firework display. It's one the preserved railways near where I live.

Thoroughly enjoyed your beautifully shot video of everything, i am in drawl heaven right now, i would love to visit. You have so many favourites of mine but too many to mention but here are a few i could mention are the "Scammell Scarab in the that B.R plumb and custard along with that "Morris Minor Van" looking totally immaculate, not forgetting that iconic "Midland Brake Van" i have always loved them, and my favourite diesel That "growling Growler" and all those lovely coaches, and not forgetting that awesome "8F." but there is so much more to see and enjoy, i must come and see it all for myself and enjoy my childhood all over again.

its great watching things like this, you really do get to see moe into the past of the railways, like those Vehicles used in day to day life back then, rolling stock really is one of those things taken for granted, youll goto a preserved line and look at the wagons and think none the wiser, but this just gives you that bit more and just shows the sort of time and effort needed for this stock

@@WardleRestorations it showed up on the selection page when I opened TH-cam. I’ve been following videos of the GCR for a while. Originally from East Anglia Bressingham probably tipped me as a 7 year old over the edge from likes trains to loves trains, 50 odd years ago.
