god this new season is already SLAPPING, the visuals, the music, the colors, the FIGHTS. Holy fuck man they are lining this up to be one of the best shows ever made. And for me, it already is.
For real. It's one thing to make a good series. It's another thing to make an episode that's so good you don't notice that it lasted an hour. And then it's another thing to not notice that three hours passed.
Not only can they choke out people with the fumes, but they have a detailed map of vent tunnels that go through the whole lower city. They can basically Batman through Zaun, reaching every target without once showing up on the streets.
I can just imagine Caitlyn gassing the underground and then when they found people that have nothing to do with the entire silco-jinx fiasco they'll just surround the person gas masked and all and would ask: "Excume me sir/ma'am? Have you seen this woman?" While pressing a poster of jinx in their face.
This scene was just ... masterful, when i first saw it I put together what was happening but i thought the idea that they LITERALLY flooded the underground with this toxic as fuck gas taking out the shimmer operation and gang members was TOO cold blooded to be something our MC would participate in. This song went so hard and the implications of what doing that is similar to was perfect.
I fully believe Caitlin was the only one that knew how deadly the grey was since she was the one with access to the blueprints and simply lied to the group about how deadly the grey is with it's horrid long term effects while the others probably just thought it would simply incapacitate the civilians of the underground
Or its own episode alone! I want more of the underground’s normal lives or just more of the underground. I think it woulda been good for Cait to re learn that there is humanity worth saving down there and that causes her to rethink on if the sacrifice is worth the revenge sorta thing but idk
Honestly, I think that would've stretched out the plotline a bit too much. We don't need an entire episode, let alone season, of their crew busting the Shimmer lords, the scenes of them in Episode 2 and this montage depicts their activities in a way that doesn't feel cumbersome to the main story. We know what they've been doing, and we understand the impact it's had on Caitlyn and Vi.
@ it’s less to do with the shimmerlords and more to do with how they just never represented Vi having a moral dilemma about becoming an enforcer and having to watch the woman she loves and was warming up to becoming increasingly violent, unhinged, and bitter towards those from the underground like the enforcers she despised growing up as kids. It would’ve allowed for room for the side romance plot with orange haired girl and fish dude and side enforcer that was apparently friends and ride or die with Vi during her depression period. I mean vi has her scene with Claggers glasses sure, but what about Vi seeing a child suffocating due to the grey her and her gang are using to clear out the streets? Maybe they could’ve initially introduced Isha as an accidental victim street rat of the grey and it becomes even more a reason Vi was so hesitant when she jumps between her and Jinx and aims a gun at her. Like I wish they just allowed some more space for things to breathe and rise a bit more in the oven because I LIKED the notes but there was nothing between them to flow well together.
@@DelRae Exactly there are so many loose ends. Even though S2 is great, it doesn't feel as satisfying as the first season. You can clearly see they planned for much more, but time and money ran out I guess.
