Suva looks so clean. No sign of a betelnut stain in sight.

We don't have betel nuts in Fiji. Only found /grown/ and eaten in Papua New Guinea

Fiji is different from other Pacific countries.. especially Melanesian state because we don't know what betel nut used for? and for what purpose? It's not known and not used in Fiji.

absolutely love the Fijian way of life. I am from PNG and betelnut chewing, although is culturally embedded in our lifestyle, continues to be a health problem and the stains are an eyesore in our towns and cities.

@@Nomadic_Melanesian I observed betel nut chewing is not a practice here in Fiji as it is in PNG and Solomon Islands. However, they have started selling betel nut at the Suva Market (see my other video 'Walkabout in Suva...') for betel nut chewers mainly Solomon Islands and PNG people studying/working in Fiji. At the moment, there is no specific (to my knowledge) ban on selling/chewing betel nut and the town and everywhere remains clean and free of betel nut stain! So I think people are also conscious of this when they chew.

Yep at least Tappoo City open again until 9pm or 10pm Sundays that is great. So true that is like normal hours opening for years before 2020. Only the buses services still the same for decades on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Only public transportation going until morning hours city to towns and vice versa are taxis and minibusses. Yet minibusses don't follow bus routes most of them only the main highway Suva To Nausori and other smaller towns.
The only one licensed to go all streets highways are the taxis 24 hours some bases. Some bases just up to 2am for 7 days.

Oh meself have great University of the South Pacific friends of Long ago from Solomon Islands in 90s. The laughter spoilings and eating beetlenuts like Mr King he is the most kindest always inviting us to go with him to his flat with other Solomon Islands students in Suva City. I didn't go though only other girls went. There is Mr Rodney and Bruno from Tikopia Island who is named after a dog his friends said and Camari Bainivalu. Well they were the best friends because all we did is that roam around everywhere when no classes.

Yeah meself think buses every Sunday is still like that one hour and then arrive. Including public holidays I think still the same. Only weekdays and Saturdays every 15 minutes most residentials.
