    I weighed 300 pounds, had a BMI of of 48, and I was 20 years old when I saw your loose skin video. I remember crying in my dorm thinking "I want that problem." I'm so excited to say that I do. Down 160 pounds so far, 20 more to go. I order my Obese to Beast shirt, it should be here any day. Hey! So I've actually succeeded in losing the weight. My lose skin isn't the worst, but I do have it. It's a lot like a rubber bands--you can stretch it and it will go back to it's original size, but if you stretch it past a certain point, then it will always be stretched. I was really big, so I stretched it out too far. But it's not unbearable, very few people see it so I don't mind too much!

      MK Moore wow...thats awesome!! I was 280 and im 215 now. My bf% is 21 so i wanna get down to 180-190. I am very worried about loose skin at this stage... how do you get to the point where you arent worried or self-conscious about it?? I dont have any yet, but i can tell once i lean out i will DEF have some.

    • @Coryo61827
      @Coryo61827 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Rage8010 if you’ve lost that much and don’t really have any noticeable loose skin yet, you might actually be alright, especially if you’re younger. The younger you are the more elastic your skin still is. Because of this, I’ve heard that even after you lose weight, your skin can still tighten back up a little more over time. Best of luck. :)

    A little over a year ago I lost 41 pounds. I went from 237 down to 196 but I knew I still had a long way to go(I'm short by the way). For some reason though, I just lost motivation and gained about ten pounds back. To make it worse a girl I really, really liked rejected me hard because of my appearance. That basically sparked something in me to continue my weight loss journey once again. I was kinda depressed for a while because of that incident but that motivated me to work hard. I went from 206 to 188 now and I'm going to continue to go until I hit my goal. Thank you so much John for your videos!

I'm finally doing a lifestyle change and I've lost 15lbs with JUST food changes, I have 17lbs to go until goal. I eat so much better now and my relationship with food is still definitely under construction. But, you are sooooo right. It's the KEY to weight loss.

I have lost 50 pounds over the past two years but have been fluctuating between 207- 217 for the past 9 months. So I set myself a goal to hike 180 miles of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain over 2 1/2 weeks starting at the end of May. Having this trip to look forward to has given me something specific to train for, giving me the motivation to push myself a little harder every day so I will be in good enough shape to have the energy to enjoy every day of the Camino.

    My freshman year in high school I weighed 240 then I decided to go to the gym and cut a lot of junk food out. I got down to 185 my sophomore year because I wanted to join the army, but I got rejected because of depression problems. My 11th and 12th grade year I started gaining a shit ton of weight. I was put on this pill that caused most of the weight gain. I'm up to 330 now. And I want to get rid of it. I really appreciate the video man

      Mike look for Keto diet and Intermediate Fasting it helped me a lot I lost 205lbs I was 445 now I’m 240 and still going hard you can do it too, find Dr berg on TH-cam and Thomas DeLauer this guys have tons of information how to do keto right way it’s super easy just week and you are doing it very easily also Primal Edge Health this guy is pretty good, it will most definitely help you trust me, once you doing better you can even start working out it will get easier, good luck and god bless you!

    • @therewasmoretwm8711
      @therewasmoretwm8711 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lasharela keto diet is dangerous you fucking idiot. You call me evil but actually I was just revving him up and getting him angry so he can prove me wrong. If I am so evil why would I now tell you that keto stresses the kidneys and liver immensely as well as decrease heart function due to myocardium starvation (heart is a muscle that doesnt run well off ketones). In addition keto diets cause a high degree of arterial plaque which is NOT good. Why dont you think before you speak. I respect your weight loss but I have no idea what long term damage you did to your insides. You also realise that protein and fat cause as big as an insulin spike as complex carbs? Come on man do your research - the only thing you said right was the intermittent fasting

      Hi, you don't actually have to give up coffee since it doesn't make you gain weight. It is the sugar you put it in. I know it is difficult but you could try drinking it black as it helps boosting your metabolism. Green tea also has caffeine and it helps too. Congratulations on your weight loss journey and keep up the good work! :D

      Hey guys. You wanted an update! I'm 306 lbs. I only started measuring my body last week in addition to the scale. I'm going to get my BMI checked as well. Last week I was 310 when I started working out, walking 5K's all last week except one day super-sets of pushups, crunches, suitcase sit-ups, and dumbell squats. This week started HIIT runs with a friend I recently inspired to join in my journey; his starting weight is 334 lbs (326 lbs as of this morning). Next week we are planning to alternate cardio days with super-set workouts. Doing the low-carb eating and it's producing really good results for both my friend and I. I tried low-fat and tracking calories in the past but I was constantly feeling bloated and I struggled with depression. This one really seems to more compatible with my body-type. I know it comes down to calories in/ calories out; but I'm starting to believe that body type also plays a role. I've been tested several times for diabetes and always come up negative, yet when I removed carbs and sugar from my food options, I don't experience the bloating feeling that immobilizes me anymore. John, I have heard you talk about bloating in the past and I think the term describes the general feeling but doesn't do justice to some of the descriptions that I am sure other people could give. I would love to meet you and your friend Brian someday, if crossfit competitions ever bring you out to Minnesota, you will have a place to stay. Maybe you could show me how to vlog properly :) God Bless

    • @jaredpaulson5627
      @jaredpaulson5627 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      301.3 lbs as of this morning. Thanks for liking this comment. I have been still waking 5K's and eating low carb. My relationship with food has gotten so much better; I don't feel like a meth head trying to get my next fix when I look at food or much less eating a cheat meal. I'm starting to believe that constant carb intake (simple carbs like the highly processed foods, chips, fried foods, liquid sugar like Pop and Gatorade) causes a terrible hormone imbalance and can actually change the chemistry in one's brain. Now that I have experienced both sides it seems so much clear. I'm not against eating carbs, im just more in support of moderation and time restriction. Longevity practices are key. The weight takes care of itself when longevity is the philosophy.

    Just found your channel today and you have motivated me again! I was super active in high school (plus a higher metabolism) and was 120 lbs but suffered from some body dysmorphia and never saw myself as skinny or fit. Now I'm in my junior year of college and I am struggling so much with my fitness and health. It's such a big deal too since high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems run in my family. I am currently at 186 (last time I stepped on the scale). Hey, love your vids. Here's a healthy moroccain-style recipie to thank you. Sautée lean fresh sausage (or meat substitute) of any kind, sliced zucchini, chopped onion, garlic in a big sautée pan. Add a big spoonfull of Ras el Hanout spice and 1 big lemon slice per serving. Add a chicken or veg stock cube with hot water when nearly done with equal amount of brown boulgour. Let finish on low heat until liquid is absorbed. This recipie is inexpensive and super tasty, good cold or rewarmed. Eat with dijon mustard, lowfat greek yogurt &/or salad.
