I re-read the entire Civil War arc recently. It was Danny Rand as Burt the Bard said. He had temporarily taken up the Daredevil mantle. I was waiting for Ewan to say that, but he just left it a mystery for anyone who hasn’t poured over Civil War.
At the time Matt Murdock was actually in jail and the idea of him being Daredevil was public knowledge. Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, took up the Daredevil suit to fill in for Matt and also cause doubt that Matt could be DD. The reason why it wasn't Daredevil in Civil War is because logically, based on the time of publishing, it couldn't be. However, it seemed like the writer (Mark Millar) of Civil War isn't aware that his Daredevil isn't Matt, or he forgets. Danny is labeled as being Daredevil at some point in the book, but the Judas reference dialogue is something that doesn't make any sense at all coming from Danny Rand and is more fitting of Matt Murdock. It's just something that's really weird because the writer himself doesn't seem aware of it so how could most fans be?
Banana Rama right. I was familiar with this happening, Danny playing DareDevil. I just figured he would’ve mentioned it if that was the case. Maybe he didn’t wanna spoil things? Idk it’s a ten year old comic.
I'm a little tired of people saying Fisk started off a generic cartoon baddie when he was a Spider-man. While technically true, this is only because most villains of that period were campy. Comics were still considered a children's medium. A modern day Kingpin is still the grounded and nuanced villain whether he's fighting Spider-man or Daredevil.
What are you trying to say at the end of point #3? If DD gave Tony the silver, referenced Judas (of biblical fame), and did this fully conscious of his actions and consequences... that means, yes, he scolded Tony Stark.
That was the one thing I thought the movie did better than the show. The moment in season one where we see his "I see the world on fire" sight, I was like "So, basically, you can see". I much prefer the "sonar vision".
__________ the reason why in the tv show he can move perfectly like a normal none blind person is because of the fact that even though he doesn’t have sight he has his other four senses heightened, so he can hear, taste, smell, and feel things better than the average person just like how he’s portrayed in the Daredevil comics.
There's a moment in the Chinatown storyline where he has to dismantle a bomb. He calls up Captain America to try to figure out how to do it. Cap then asks him how much time is on it, and he has this instant moment of "oh crap!" because he can't see the screen, but he also never mentioned the fact he is actually blind to Cap in this storyline. It gets interesting for a few pages.

Wait wait wait you are missing the most important thing about daredevil when you mentioned "who had it worse".......he's blind. Is that really hard to forget. You also forgot heather glenn, she committed suicide. Also Foggy had cancer. Etc
Best point made Eva.. SO many forget or reject that he is REALLY blind.. like to entertain can do and "see" things even better than a sighted man and get himself out of any situation via his ever trusty 'echolation-radar' sense.. Ridiculous.. They clearly miss all of the blind assitive equipment in his office and such, as though he supposed to read a fax or a screen with?.. his fingers?... They don't comprehend how much this cheapens the character's core concept, when the senses are not properly attended to.. His claim to fame is that he performs despite of his disability, not because of it.
@@Evasford >Right on my smart lady.. There's ignorance abound to fact that the opposite of what we're advocating (That Matt is truly, 100%!, blind) is a superficial, low-level pandering to many who want him presented as your usual "perfect'" hero who on the one hand meet's with ultra-extreme case villains but at the same time have him always come through due to his "skill" set.. ..this is akin to the fan's who are happy with senselesly overpowered heroes busting up anything/body, with Batman being a perfect example----->as in, expecting a mere non-powered man to fistfight Doomsday or to stand toe to toe with Darkseid. But the most overlooked fact is that, of all, daredevil is the hardest to script correctly, and why when he's good, he's the damn best. What I mentioned in the 1st part of my comment?.. Well, that is just SUCH easy and lazy writing, undeserving to Man Without Fear.. ..The real, timetested stories are the one's where these human power-level heroes solve predicament's with their wit.. Like when Daredevil uses his hi-intellect lawyer mind to find other and unique means to get the advantage.
George Barrett thank you, you’re like the first person to understand that, when I read a daredevil comic and Matt Murdock pops up and stuff happens, I’m waiting for like a “blind lawyer act” I just find it lazy that they don’t bother making him seem blind so much in public anymore and some writers do get it but most of them just write what ever a “normal superhero” would do and it sometimes pisses me off, but I still love daredevil all the way, but it’s the writing that can get to me sometimes.

Eric Miller I haven’t read all of Brubaker’s run of Daredevil, but what I have read I can say its freaking awesome. His run with Captain America was awesome.
Marcos Perez maybe I’ll check it out then. I’m not a Cap fan, I find him to be a boring character. I do love Brubaker’s run on Gotham Central, so if it is as good as that I’ll problly read it.
Eric Miller is awesome man I highly recommend it. I believe is in this run when were introduced to the Winter Soldier.
Fair points you guys but Miller & Mazzucchelli's work on Born Again was...incredible.
Mark Waid’s run on Captain America is great
Mark Waid's run was not a good run for Daredevil. Comic sales shown that his run sold the least amount of comics.
theres comics in wich he kills theres comics in where he doesnt so new comic books can get it wrong too so its really subjective we like to bash tv shows and movies but forget that many comic books made new changes before that some may consider not canon theres nothing to get wrong
Yes my point exactly, him being blind is what makes daredevil stand out from the crowd from other superheroes and makes him special and unique.
Jesus, what's that last picture from?
These r freaking opinions and opinions cannot be wrong
Did he start this video with "..the Stroogle"? These British, man. I love the differences in how we pronounce words. I'm not making fun. I have a ton of English, Irish, and Scottish friends due to wrestling fandom and podcasting. I just find it interesting is all.
Black suit is vauge and mysterious
But not original....and in the world of high tech armors or high quality spandex...he shouldn't wear that kinky suit
Ok. If you wait long enough and writers continue to run out of good ideas or knowledge of how to handle a character, they'll have done everything from turning evil for a while to ending the universe.
It's ludicrous to say that these are things people, "always get wrong," when it wasn't always the case.
I feel like number 7 was biased and not looked good enough into 🤔
If you have anything nice to say about Mark Waid’s run and compact it to Miller’s. I don’t trust anything you have to say.
a lot of this is shit I already knew I just like watching these just to see what people rly get wrong about the characters like there are ton of misconceptions about so many characters.
Ah, the superpower of Catholic Guilt.
i don’t understand the explanation of number 3
