- We do shop quite often. Thank goodness we live in town and not in a village. Our search for fruit fly sticky tape, sent us all over town, we figured we would do the shopping while we were at it! Come shop with us.

Hello Bears 🐻🐻🐻 Fun hanging out with you all 💜 We went to our last Summer Farmer's Market today 😢 But, they will have one in the Fall and then the Christmas markets will start up. Is that a Mickey/Minnie necklace that Mary was wearing? It's very cute. Actually, we have had weird, random stuff happen for the entire month of August. Hopefully, September will treat us and everyone else much better. Hope you all had a wonderful vacation. Safe travels home and Happy Labor Day Weekend.
Hello, Hello! I don't like that the Farmer's Market is closing but you are right all of the other holiday markets will be starting! Yes that is a Mickey and Minnie necklace, Mary got that on our cruise! I have a feeling September will be a much better month for everyone. We did have a great vacation, I got to see friends and we were busy the whole time. You have a Happy Labor Day weekend too, I hope you can do something fun! 🥰🤗🌞
Amazon have the traps. Our outdoor market shared those nats on the plums. They went after my plants. Traps helped and only watered from bottom to avoid another cycle. Vinegar with three drops of dish soap can finish them off too. Place a berry in bowl.
I saw them on Amazon, I bought these little liquid traps, they have been set up for a week... nothing, ugh. I heard the vinegar and dish soap, I think that is what I did last time.

We had sun part of Thursday after a a very blustery rainy morning in Anchorage, then a Gorgeous day on Friday in Seward, we were so thankful! Our hairdresser fell and busted up his shoulder, we haven't had our hair done all summer, we are all growing out our hair, LOL. 🤗🥰
Have I seen you before? We took the trips to Fairbanks to enjoy the scenery and night view when visiting Anchorage AK.
I was just telling someone I should ask people when I see them what their youtube names are. I would have no clue, if I ran into you in town. Especially now that TH-cam changed the names to email names? Google names? I don't see the TH-cam names anymore, it's very confusing and has been taking me a while to figure out the people I have been commenting to all along. 😭
If you are having fruit fly problem use small shallow dishes with white vinegar about half an inch deep
put Saran Wrap over them and poke tooth pick size wholes in them ,leave then sinks and drains
For your house plans take them out of their pots rinse the roots and plant it’s self and change the soil and rinse your pots first
It’s that time of year you can also take baking some fill up you drains then pour vinegar over the drain ,that will clean your drains so the fruit flies will not hatch

Hi there! We went down to Palmer, Anchorage, Kenai and Seward. We really didn't know what we were going to do until the last minute, It depended on other people. The Spirit Halloween Store is where Fred Meyer was Years ago on the corner of Old Steese and College. I was just told that back in the day, that Fred Meyer was like a Walmart and Home Depot in one, they used to sell lumber, doors, etc. Thank you and I hope you had a great holiday weekend too.🥰

Yes, that was the original Fred Meyer, it wasn’t that big, I remember when they had the electronics and music and video department in a separate strip mall next door to the store, but it eventually moved back into the main building. But I thought a national chain store went in there, wasn’t it an REI at one point?

@@BreakTime10101 oh gosh no, it's huge. Right now the Hospital has a PT clinic on one end, REI on the other, there is an Aaron's rent to own and Spirit Halloween.
I think they have pretty much quit making the fly sticky strips for some reason. What they have now are pointess.
I saw them on Amazon but was looking for some to put out before we went on vacation. We had gotten 2 little traps that you put bait in... a week later... nothing, ugh

I really like my "Meijer" grocery store and we also have to watch for pricing mistakes and coupons coming off the bill. Glad you found plaid flannel jacket. Oh Oh where's the inspectors? You can freeze the berries. I'm not going to put up any Fall🍁decorations yet till I get my fall cleaning done. I just can't enjoy decorating till the house is done then I can enjoy it. We just had our new AC unit installed and we're finally getting our old shed emptied out so we can build the new one so lots to do before the fall house cleaning. Helloooooo Joyce! We had a wonderful vacation. Thank you. When I walked into our Fred Meyer here for the first time, I looked it up to see if it was affiliated with Meijer, they seemed almost the same. I was lucky to get another flannel shirt, they had very few left! I have lots of frozen berries in the freezer 😉 I was hoping to have more time off to do cleaning, but I put time back on my schedule. I hope to get some cleaning done soon. I know how you feel about getting other things done first, time is getting away from me too! Happy Labor Day! 🥰

I load the digital coupons in the store. But I haven’t gotten coupons in the mail forever!
I think it's that we don't get a good signal inside the store, they don't load right away. We only use to get mailed coupons from Fred Meyer quarterly, but now they send them monthly.

How can Fairbanks have two Arby's when I live just south of San Francisco and the nearest Arby's is 35 miles away? (The one near me closed a few years ago.)
Well pretty soon it may only be one. From what I understand though, most of these franchises anymore, want you to have more than one built within a 2 year window. That's why we don't have a lot up here, the town is just not big enough for 2.
Cooler weather is not too far down the road here in Florida. Then our farmers markets, flea markets, and fairs will be starting. One of you should go manage that Arby’s and straighten it out!🤣 Larry was disappointed last time we were there. Any Halloween surprises for your decorations this year? ❤😊
I heard today was kind of like a Fall day down there! Funny, I used to love all of those Markets down there in the early Spring and Late Fall. Oh gosh, I feel so sorry for anyone that has to manage anything now after Covid, the lack of skills and enthusiasm is horrible. I am not sure what we will put up for Halloween, but something 9 foot tall would be better to see in the snow 🤣🤣🤣
For those fruit flies, I set out a small jar of water with apple cider vinegar and a drop or two of dish soap. They are attracted the acv.
I tried, it wasn't working. We got these little apple looking traps, it smelled 10 times stronger than apple cider and was really thick, they finally went for that!
To reserve your avocados get a bowl or a glass jar that has a lid fill it with water over your avocados and it preserves them

It's cloudy with drizzle here in SoCal. The Sun finally left, it's below 90 here. At the costco's, Walmarts And other grocery stores down here Teenagers come at night and wrap wire around the front Wheels to jam them up, so the shopping carts may tip over or be difficult to push forward. Don't they sell artic liners or extreme cold weather liners there anymore? Fruit flies up in Fairbanks? Wow.
Cloudy and rain and still close to 90 🥵 I can't believe people are so destructive, those teens need things to do! Most of the winter gear is made really well now, we do have liners but for the most part coats are rated well. My long winter coat is rated for 40 below. I have had problems with fruit flies off and on since I have been here, things are shipped in. I one got a pack of toilet paper that had a spider in the middle of the rolls. And grapes that had one in the middle of the pack. Who knows where they came from 😱
