He was talking about if you keep them forever if you dont die. And no, you dont. They have a durability limit and can be sold if not used, you can sell them in the box where colas usually go, so if you dont wanna have a epic gold weapon and want money instead, you cant sell it.

How do you get golden weapons?

if u kill a goo with a weapon the weapon will be goldified at 30 killstreak here is a example : you have a 29 killstreak you kill a goo with a long pipe BOOM It becomes a golden greatsword!
