The only reason I would ever revive these things is if I planned to make "Sparta Remixes Giga Side-By-Side," for which I would need to find another 192 sparta remixes, then make another 48 Side-By-Sides, then make another 12 Super Side-By-Sides, then make another 3 Ultimate Side-By-Sides, then finally make 1 more Mega Side-By-Sides.
Because really all of his side by side sparta remix videos were junk literally when I searched up sparta remix video all of his shows filled up the suggestion bar
So sorry, I meant to come back and answer this question sooner. I really thank you for asking this question, TrackmaniaKid27, because it's something I've really wanted to address for a long while, but it took me all this time to be able to find the words for it. There are actually a few reasons why I quit after the Mega Side-by-Side. 1. The entire reason I started doing these was to showcase the Sparta Remixes that I'd found that I really enjoyed and found to be really well done. Originally, going up to the Ultimate seemed like it was good enough. But, after some time passed, it just felt incomplete, and I kept finding more and more remixes I wanted to showcase, so I set out to make Mega. That's why the description of this video is such a failure to me, because I could never find a way to cram all of the credits into the limited space. Anyway, after Mega was done, I decided there was no point in going any bigger because, at 1,024 remixes on screen, you would no longer be able to see the individuals. The entire screen would just be a mess and the sound would just be one barely audible tune. That completely defeats the original purpose of these Side-By-Sides. 2. It actually became too difficult after a while. Not the editing part, moving a few videos around a screen is easy. The difficult part was finding remixes that I not only liked, but would also work in the side-by-sides. See, fewer and fewer remixers nowadays are using the traditional "Extended Sparta Remix" format. Everyone is going onto their own freestyles and formats that, while most are really kickass and a blast to listen to, don't lend themselves well to being lined up with other remixes. The ones that are sticking to the original format are very few and far between, and only a handful of what remains are actually enjoyable (in my opinion). There comes a point where you have to say "that's enough," and for me, that was after about 80+ pages of youtube search results giving me nothing new to work with. 3. This is probably the most influential reason, and I'm not going to sugarcoat it in any way. In complete honesty, I just didn't want to do them anymore. Don't get me wrong, the time I had making them was really fun, and finding all of these different, unique remixers and sources was an adventure. But, after 3 years of making them, just doing the same motions over and over, I really felt like I'd gone as far as I could with them. I enjoy editing videos, designing layouts for videos, and making intros and outros. But, the side-by-sides just didn't fill that need anymore. On top of that, I was no longer the only one going "bigger," which brings me to... 4. When I made the first Side-By-Side, I'd never even heard of this "quadparison" community. To me, making it was just another video lining up 2 or more songs that I thought worked well together. It wasn't until I had dozens of people commenting "*Pushes up glasses* Um, it's called a quadparison, you uneducated swine." After looking it up, I was fascinated, and a little disappointed, admittedly, to find that my idea was already done dozens of times over. But, something that no one else had really done at the time was make them as big as that Supers, and definitely not as big as the Ultimates. However, after I'd made a few videos, I started to notice a change in the community that blew me away more than anything. I suddenly started seeing more "Side-By-Sides" and less "parisons." I started seeing more checkerboard intros, some designed really well, others, a tad sloppy. There were suddenly so many people using my format, and it baffled me. I was already confused by the high numbers of views these videos were getting, but now, other people were doing the same thing. I never, even in my wildest dreams, would have imagined that I'd manage to change the image of almost an entire video making community. The views already felt undeserved to me, but to have my format become the metaphorical face of the genre was a huge stroke of pure luck that I may never get again. That all being said, it really helped in my decision to "retire" from the genre. Ever since the community's face lift, I have seen so many well made side-by-sides by so many talented people. Some of these people have even made Side-By-Sides of good sparta remixes that they, themselves, have made, which is awesome. In this community, which accepted me with open arms, and has grown, not quite to mainstream level, but definitely to a level that at least deserves recognition, I have seen so many people go in and out, both good and not so good. The ones that have stayed and continued to grow, I am so glad to see whenever they show up, and are definitely worth checking out. They're all putting more time and effort into these videos than I ever did, and are far more dedicated. Which is why, when I'd finally done this video, I felt ok with leaving. The community will continue to grow without me, and I'm excited to see just how big they can become. tl;dr: The original purpose would be lost if I continued, it became too "difficult," "I don't wanna," and there are plenty more people, many of whom are far more talented than I am, that you can watch if my videos weren't enough.
It's ok. And thnx for the explanation. You know, when I saw the gigaparison that Lolman did, I honestly was blown away by your comment on his video. And you're right. It feels a bit crazy how far the "little idea" has come. And for one, I feel like things might get a bit more crazy. Because after watching it a couple times, I thought to myself "if it were to be bigger, and if someone in the TH-cam Community were to mashup 4 giga side by sides or gigaparisons, what it would be called. Because I was coming up with a formula that I could study from on how many videos and parisons were in other parisons. And to be honest, I sometimes call them "side by sides" as well. So, I kinda wanted to try some Sparta remixes myself. But...i kinda had several problems: 1. I was afraid of Copyright strikes, 2. I wasn't that good with video editing softwares, and 3. I'd probably get yelled at. So I decided to start out simple and do sone Audio Only Sparta remixes by using FL Studio, and using either everyday footage of me, or even my own TH-cam videos. It seemed to work perfectly, once I got a strategy for it. But, I have one more question for you, and it's in bold. *If in the future a TH-camr were to create 3 more giga parisons or giga side by sides, and then would mash them up with Lolman's gigaparison, what would that be called? Like, basically, what would come after Gigaparisons?* But seriously thank you for replying to my comment today. It made me happy, really, and it really brightened my day a whole lot. Keep doing what you're doing, whatever it is. And have a great 2017.
So, I haven't seen this gigaparison, and I have to check that out. Giga was actually what I'd thought would be the next stage after Mega, containing 4,096 videos. After Giga, while the metric system would suggest Teraparison or Tera Side-By-Side to be the next logical step, I'd always thought that'd be the point where we'd hop off the conventional naming train and start going crazy. At that ridiculous scope of 16,384 videos in one, if it were even possible to find that many videos, the person who makes it can name it whatever they want. "Frank's Double Decker Bean-Stuffed Spicy Habanero Side-By-Side" sounds good to me. Pardon me, I hear lunch calling.
Thnx. I'm glad we have this bond we have. And I hope you'll wish me luck on my quest to create the TeraParison "Tera-Side-By-Side" Parison. And when I do, i hope you'll check it out. :)
I found 256 other Sparta remixes that are not in this series. P.S. I did some calculating. 4 x 4 = 16 16 x 4 = 64 64 x 4 = 256 There are exactly 256 Sparta remixes used in this series.
