As an example of how foolish nearly every foreign policy decision the United States made in regards to fear of communist expansion was. I've been told since kindergarten how unworkable Marxism is, however the power elite is terrified of it.

@@Dobie_ByTorWhat parts were exaggerated? I mean, SOG in Vietnam is just filled with legendary soldiers. That’s where most of the “war stories” are from and it’s quite likely that they weren’t exaggerated. The guy was on the ground in Afghanistan in late 2001 and he was around 72 years old on horseback with a rifle, pistol and a Bowie Knife and that’s not extraordinary to you?
If you can get past “the F4 Phantom going mach 2 was hit by the machine gun…”and other fish stories, this is a great compelling possible history of the Intelligence Community and their place in government… or not.
“Preemptive Neutralization “ in the name of self defense. I wonder if the local prosecutor would accept that American precedent should a citizen prove a case for it? 🤔
I can see where you're coming from: however, the CIA, it's Paramilitaries, the individual Operators & Assassins do not exist, function, administrate, conspire, engage & execute, etc. in a *vacuum.* She's telling *stories.* A storyline requires plot details, fleshed out characters, historical context, the detailed 1st person accounts from her countless interviews, the imagery, the human elements. ..Without the aforementioned elements you're not telling a story, you're left with sterile reports FOIA'd from the National Archives. 🤔Just my opinion. I thought she had a good balance.
'The assassin fired six .22 bullets at the President in less than two seconds.'' No he didn't. Nobody could do that to one body, never mind three. Amateur writing. Pathetic.
@peterwhyte whatever. Commenters like you crack me up. What Hinckley did was simply point a .22LR caliber double action revolver at Reagan and fired 6 rounds as fast as he could. Multiple people were hit because they were around Reagan, that’s all. I don’t really understand what you’re questioning. As usual, on the comments section of TH-cam and other social media platforms, people bloviate about things they have absolutely zero knowledge about. “Amateur writing?” She stated facts. “Pathetic?” Yes, your opinion and knowledge base is just that, pathetic.
Thanks for uploading this book. I appreciate it. I listened to it as I was reading the book.
Thanks as always for your work and efforts uploading these, maybe you can find something new and fresh for us all next time, best wishes 🙏 📚

There will never be another like Billy Waugh. One of a kind
The amount of luck, skill and wisdom is bewildering! “Most of what he did was never written down” is the quote that speaks volumes to what he’s done.
Exaggerated war stories from an old warrior who had a young beautiful reporter who took his every word as Gospel. Good nuggets in the chaff tho.
I served with plenty of

Lots of general history, surprisingly little actually related to the CIA and paramilitary operations listed in the title

Have you thought about sharing anything new at all?

The fastest draw (aim and hit included, target is 8 feet away) is today at about 0.208 sec. Try again.
No but she is wrong about the .22 explosive tipped bullet hurting anyone in that OR those thing have barly enough explosives to equal a cap gun
Jerry Miculek has done that with a .38, reloaded and shot 12 rounds in 1.9 seconds.
That's not really that quick, especially if you're gonna miss as much as he did.
@peterwhyte whatever.
